If the weather doesn't turn around(atleast mostly dry roads for me). I'll be in the raptor and have 4 comfy seats open for the ride.

I scoped out a few spots along the route today where odds of driving down the ditch will be really high if I take the truck. And possibly a couple of cut-across-cornfields shortcuts.

When you turn in to the dealership, immediately tun right and form 2 lines. There are a lot of people scheduled to be here, and we're going to need all the space we can get!

Also, once you're here there are rest rooms and free pop/coffee inside.

I forgot until just now when I threw my stuff in the truck.

I have a GoPro mount on the windshield already. I should be able to get decent chase video.

I'll have my other GoPro with a suction cup either on my truck too or to hand out to people between stops.

Ok, finally got on a computer here so I will post my impressions of the route from the bomber run. Maybe Josh can chime in as well with anything I miss.


-Noticed a few speed traps, I will try to have it noted on the packets

-This route is primarily long sweeping curves, would be great for some high speed fun if the conditions allow it. There isn't really anything for tight and technical turns.

-Be prepared to encounter snow!! There are a handful of spots where drifts across the road are very possible even with the warm weather today and tomorrow.

-Salt/Sand: These roads were being salted and sanded yesterday on the bomber run, drive accordingly, and keep the shiny side up!

-DRIVE TO THE CONDITIONS! I cannot stress this enough, we all know there has been inclimate weather in the last few days, if a section of road is not ideal drive accordingly!

-E85 stops: There is ONE e85 pump at each of our fuel stops, room for 2 cars at a time to fuel up on e85. Both stations have plenty of parking, and are good sized stations with plenty of room for our huge group.

-At the second fuel stop in Mankato, there is a Erb's and Gerb's is you wanted to grab a sandwich for after the bars. I will be getting one for sure. :)

-There are both a bar and a liquor store within walking distance from the hotel.

-When we go to the brewery, we need to consolidate vehicles. Pack it in, get multiple people in each car, there is not much for parking space at the brewery.

-The road into the brewery is extremely narrow, there is no need to drive like a jackass here, take it slow.

I broke the two week rule. Swapped on snow tires this morning and put a new PCV valve on the car. Tested and works dandy. Topped up ye-old-oil burner and called it good to go!

Anna's still recovering from surgery so she's going to be sitting out. This means I've got a spare bed if anyone's interested.

Also, I found out today that my tibia is actually cracked...doctors first said torn ACL, then bruised ligaments, now after an MRI and closer inspection, my leg is broken' right under my MCL. So, if I limp a little or walk slow, or shift slow, bear with me :)
