Hopefully no one has forgot! Are we just taking 35 all the way up there, or are we taking some kinda scenic route?

BTW something that just came to mind. Am I going to be kinda screwed since I'm on E85 now? That means I need to stop at Holiday stations with that stuff...

Re: Spring Cruise, April 14-15, 2007, Duluth Weekend!

Lots of stations in Duluth have E85 so you have nothing to worry about.

We are talking 35 about half the way up then we'll be taking a scenic route from there on. I am working on finalizing the complete route pretty much as we speak :)

Just bring a gas can and fill up on some E85 before we go.
Well i have no IC, and i need the new tranny in and stuff.
Its gonna be a busy and expensive week.
Still planning on it though.

Re: Spring Cruise, April 14-15, 2007, Duluth Weekend!

OK, it'd just be nice to have 1 E85 station on the way. I have a 5 gal gas can but that'll only get me a little ways.

I've got a 5 gal gas can as well you can use if you want to be safe.

yeah, i know what you are talking about B.
I will be taking a 5 gal of premium cause of all the talk about not being able to find 92 up there.
This week will be a day by day thing to see if i go on this cruise or not.

Woot! I'm so excited it's gonna be awesome!

Brandon, quit your job and come with us! :D

Once we work out the route, let's check out http://www.e85fuel.com & make sure we're accommodating :D

Re: Spring Cruise, April 14-15, 2007, Duluth Weekend!

I have the route fairly well set, I'll check that E85 site to make sure all is well. With stations in Duluth though we should be set.

*edit* I just checked the maps and mileage and with E85 in Duluth you'll be fine for fuel. There is a BP in Duluth that sells 92-octane so there is no reason for anyone to worry about gas.

Re: Spring Cruise, April 14-15, 2007, Duluth Weekend!

Do people have any interest in checking out Gooseberry Falls and Splitrock Lighthouse? Splitrock is frankly quite boring (and costs money), but Gooseberry has some great hiking trails and scenery.

Another thing, how much driving to people want to do once we get to Duluth? The full route I am looking at is a 4 hour round trip out of Duluth, but that may be too much for some so let me know.

Re: Spring Cruise, April 14-15, 2007, Duluth Weekend!

Im up for whatever once we get to duluth, not sure I want to drive for 4 hours after a 2 hour trip up there. Maybe drive up the shore a bit, hike around at gooseberry or whatever stops on along the road and then head back to party for the afternoon, evening. haha

Its going to be in the upper 40s or colder I think.. so super twisty roads might not be the greatest fun with summer tires on?

Gotta give the shop guys a break on planning, I can image it's tuff on everyone to come up with time to work on their own shit this time of year. We still have plenty of people heading up for the weekend and It'll be a good time.

If there is a chance of snow up there i won't be taking the 6, but we will rock the prisim instead. lol
