The Ford gt pumps? My car would creep to 35psi and I want to see 40+ when I get it figured out. Shane said to get a couple 255s and pop the relief valves

Did Shane test your fuel? Interested on results and the last place you filled up?

I know that isn't your issue at all just interested if he did.

For a journal bearing 6766 with a big a/r I thought so too

I'm not sure if Shane tested it or not. I filled up at the holiday in flake last. I have a couple jugs full that I have got yesterday and I bought an e85 tester so I can test it.

How much power are you making?

Re: my new project

High 600s at 39ish psi. My injectors are maxed so I can't do much more without changing them up. But I'm happy with mid 600s at 33 34 psi. It makes for a fun street car.

^That's dynojet isn't it?

I was running 38psi, they would eat face pretty good just getting to 32psi.

Pretty good numbers. What kind of dyno?

Were you using ford gt pumps or walbro 255s?

dsmolition 04-22-2013 09:28 PM

Re: my new project

Yeah, dynojet. On a 2.0l, Jb 6262, -6 feed on e79, bm1450s. Nothing crazy.

Re: my new project

Still pretty good numbers! I'd like to see over 800whp on a dynojet

Bummer you ran into issues, but a dyno is just a tool and it helped you discover an issue which is still progress. I have no doubt you'll get it figured out and be back on there for round 2 soon.

Indeed that's why I'm not too upset. We got some issues fixed and found that there were multiple causes. It is what it is. Based on the graphs I got I would say things look pretty promising

Re: my new project

That was on the ford gt pump, i switched out for a 255 and no more issues. I have a dw300 I could sell you.

Okay cool. So these pumps are definitely coming out asap then. I might look into getting a rebuild kit for my regulator too just to be on the safe side

Twin 255hp's with relief mod. Proven since the early ages, and cheap. Hard to beat that.

Meh, don't waste the coin, just do a pull and see what it does. (regulator)

This, but you will run out of fuel Vassil did with smaller turbo on the same dyno.
Granted 2.4 instead of 2.0, but you have the bigger turbo too.
I'd say twin 300s if you can get them for a deal.

Re: my new project

Depends on if he has other restrictions in his fuel system too though.

You need to have upgraded lines, rail, AFPR etc and get rid of all restrictions that cause excessive fuel pressure. If you can keep the fuel pressure as low as possible the pumps will flow quite a bit more.

I am not saying one way or the other, you might be right that he needs bigger pumps, but i just don't know either setup enough.

I personally wouldn't run dw300's in anything, they haven't shown to do dick over a relief modded wally 255. I'd run twin 450's if you need that much fuel, or man up and do a full setup using a big ass weldon.
