Bummer it didn't work out for you but if it's a matter $200 or less for 2 walbros that's an easy fix! |
Re: my new project
Twin weldons, -14 fuel line, 1" fuel rail, and some Moran 4500cc injectors should do the trick. :D

I like BAP's for single pumps, but if you are doing a twin setup, just do two bigger ones I'd think. I dunno, just seems like less nonsense with putting the right size in there. |

As for the bap vs going to bigger pumps it's a little bit of a toss up for me. 1g dsms have such a shitty charging system I think I would lean more towards a bap to keep a solid voltage at the pumps but idk |

I picked up a couple 255s with the relief valve mod. Then when I picked up my car from db I got some submersible fuel line. I put the fuel pumps in and replaced the rubber lines in the tank. I did find a hole in one of the rubber lines I replaced. I did a couple 3rd gear pulls on the highway and the fuel psi just seemed to keep climbing so I think we're good to go. I'm going to talk to Shane and see what he thinks.
I also want to try and wire my wideband into the aem so I can log afrs and I want to get a fuel pressure gauge that has a 5v reference so I can log fuel pressure. |
Re: my new project
Nice! Rock on dude!

Also I was talking to swift and he said that the wideband is already wired into the aem. So my buddy is putting together a new laptop for me so when I get that I can double check that. So now I just need to look into a new fuel pressure gauge so I can log fuel psi. |

Re: my new project
Nice dude! I'm glad it wasn't something more serious.

Re: my new project
When you hitting the dyno again? Looking at the dyno graph looks like you should hit 700hp. What does your car rev out to?
|
Re: my new project
Glad it was an easy fix and that it takes care of the problem.
Time to go make horsepowa! |
Re: my new project
Thats good that you found the problem!
|
Re: my new project
Thanks guys! I really hope that was the issue. Guess we'll find out when it hits the dyno again

Re: my new project
Holy nuts 10k. You have race car. Hope you get back on the dyno soon. It would be awesome if you could go to the half mile races in chicago.
|
Re: my new project
Lol. Or at least 9500. It's built for it so why not, right? Yeah the half mile race in Chicago would be fun! Unfortunately it won't be in the budget for this summer. Plus idk how well my car would do with the tranny I have in it. Probably would need a dogbox for half mile lol

Re: my new project
Any plans for E98? 40psi on E70 with next to useless knock detection/control isn't the best way to go.

We'll I would really love to see 40psi but that was something I was going to talk to you about once the fuel issues are fixed and we can actually tune this thing. I would like to do e98 but idk if it will be feasible for me to do this summer. Also I would like to switch to link and get rid of the aem. So when it boils down to it when we actually tune it if you don't think it's a good idea to push it that far on pump e85 then we won't. |
