RT615 is what I run on the EVO and I run one of their more expensive sizes in 17" I paid $145 a tire. Awesome tire but don't expect much more than 20,000 miles out of them even less with hard driving.

Understeer sucked in my old 1g. I had quite of weight reduction and moved the battery to the back to move a bit of the weight around. Didn't matter much. I would like to ride in a 1g setup for autocross.

Next year I want to get the viper out to brainerd and see what I/it can do. I will have to take some carefull practice laps at Opus International. RWD can be fun to turn but it will take quite a bit of practice for me to be comfortable touching the gas in a turn.

Bring the Viper out to auto-x, there are a few others who come out (including a chick).

I do understand that the strut bar alone can affect what class you race in for autox.

Don't worry about classing unless you're doing it to be competitive. Have fun first, then worry about being competitive if you choose to do so.

For brakes at the very least get some aggressive pads(with the 2 pots) with good rotors, SS lines, and some good fluid(Motul or similar). Otherwise go with a big brake kit as suggested earlier.

For suspension, make sure you do the rear sway bar(and probably not the front). On my car with: KYB AGX/Eibach Sportlines/ST rear sway/front strut bar/Ingalls camber kit front/Ingalls camber control arms rear, I can over or under steer on on/off ramps with my gas pedal.. very neutral.

Does your car have a lot of negative camber in the back? I have those upper arms too, and I think I'm threaded out to their "safety" mark and it's still really negative...

I have a decent amount(not excessive), but A LOT better then it was before. I still need a good alignment to get it all set properly however.

I am seriously considering it. I know I will be horrible in the beginning trying to figure out the over-steer problem. It would definitly be fun.

This is pretty good info on things to look at.
http://www.farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets.html

For the front strut bar you might wanna search for the older model with connects with the firewall, I've always heard better things about those. As for shocks, there is a huge thread on tuners about how all the shocks are valved wrong, do some research on what your looking for. Lots of people are doing the same type of setups, I'm one of them. Good luck.
