Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED
Swift if you wanna sell it you have to "let go" a little haha. When I sold me dsm, the kid knew how, but had never drivin a stick before. I drove him around on the roads so he could feel the car our, and then went to a parking lot and teach him. He came back the next day with $9000 :)
|
Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED
Same with me. My 1g sold for 8300 bucks, and it had a stock motor. lol Both people that looked at it got to drive it, with proof of insurance and me in the passenger seat of course.
|
Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED
I have no problem letting him drive it, but I will NOT throw him the car to "Take home" and look at. NOT happening.
|
Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED
You should at least let a potential buyer have the car inspected on his dollar.
|
Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED
There's no problem in riding along with them. That just shows that you truly care about the car.
|
Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED
I'd go with to have the car inspected too, jsut to confirm I'm not lying. I can also do a compression test with them standing right there. I have nothing to hide with this vehicle, and everyone who knows me KNOWS this is a killer deal, and a good car, minus the paint. I didn't half-ass the put-together at all, and nothing was ever beaten on without a tune to make sure it was safe first. This has been my BABY for over 2 years, so I'm not gonna settle, and just TOSS it down the drain. If it's not sold, I'll keep it. Not like I'm making payments on it.

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED
^^^ Hahaha I did the same thing to a 6.1 Hemi Charger when they first came out, minus the burnout, the dealer was pretty pissed lol

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED
i don't think you understood me...i just want to make sure it's in proper condition to drive me a hour home. I just wanted to see an interior shot before I come look at it first
|
Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED
home is arden hills? That's not far at all. I make the treck from Maple Grove to savage often, and work is in Golden Valley. I'll see what I can dig up for interior shots..
|

UPDATE: Back for sale..I'm trying to move, and get something newer, and not have 2 cars, so I'll sell them both. Just copied/pasted first post, with edits..

Last year it made a crappy 620 AWHP with issues like the WG didn't hold, boost controller broke, and I couldn't rev past 8. Found and fixed the revving issue-now is set for 9,200 rpm, but could go higher (I was going to rev to 9,600) I'm open to offers, but NO trades. I wish to have money for a nice down payment on an evo, or something else that's fun, and pay off other bills. I've NEVER beat on ANYTHING unless I knew it was safe-many people who know me here can contest to that-hence why I've never blown a motor up. I like to make sure the tune is safe, and as such, I recommend getting the car retuned now that a few issues are fixed, and the turbo is different. this has been my pride and joy for 3 years, but I think I'm growing outta the all-out speed and performance. made it as much a DD as I could, so it still has heat, wipers, lights, etc. title on car is clean. I just need something with 4 doors that I won't wanna touch and mod to the n-th degree like this car! I'd LIKE 9,500 but I guess make offers. NO LOWBALLING! You all see the mod list, and I'm not about to loose my ass on it and sell it for 6 grand. -A.
