I'm excited too. I love snow, but I hate the cold, so here's to hoping for a mild winter with tons of snow.

Unless you got skinny snow tires.

Yep, stretched some 225 width Blizzak LM-25's on the rear wheels. I had 275s on for the summer, lol.

The snow tires I ended up picking up are a little wider than I originally planned on, but the way I look at it, the larger contact patch should help me out when the roads are just icy, without much snow. I had originally planned on getting some 205/50's to put on a set of wheels I already have, but ended up with some 235/45's that came with wheels for about the same price as the tires alone would have been.

I finally ended up getting a set of snow/all seasons for this winter and I cant wait to try them. I picked up a set of Nokian wrg2's a couple weeks ago. Supposedly they can be run all year but im keeping them just for winter. The kumhos will stay on till it snows.

Last year I didn't drive much since I didn't have a job and the car wasnt 100% so Im pumped to put that AWD to work. I want to do a little lake drifting, hopefully the 5-0 will leave me alone while Im out there. Nothing to see here officers....

Looks cool, what does it do? What kind of sled(s) do you have?

We have a Polaris Super Sport 550, Polaris Indy, Polaris XCF, And a couple old sleds like a Ski-Doo Blizzard MX, Arctic Cat Jag, and a SUPER OLD ski-doo that i am going to try and get running this winter (it was my grandpas and is much older than i am). My uncles have a couple yamahas, a couple Arctic Cat Super Jags, and some older ones as well. All In all we have about 15 sleds up north.

It's a new(to me) head for my 02 MXZ 700. It will be capping off my new pistons.
It should up the compression a bit and is much more efficient than the stock head.
Should add few horsey's!

Re: I want snow!

I put an aftermarket head on a Yamaha 700 jet ski that I had a few years ago and it really woke it up. I could only imagine what the pistons and head would do for you. Sounds like fun!

Re: I want snow!

My 800, is getting a wide bearing upgrade and some new pistons so I hope things just freeze up nicely for a few weeks before the snow flys. Need to have good ice on the lakes and rivers before the snow accumulates.

Also looking for a shorty seat to go on 800xc edge of mine.

It won't be long before I visit www.johndee.com 10 times a day checking out snow conditions! Can't wait to hit the cabin and UP this winter.

THINK SNOW!!!!!

Dude, I've been watching johndee's forcast for a month now, where have you been? :D I LOVE that site.

My buddy jordan made a compilation/stripped version of his maps, and re-hosts them, you might like:

Where did you get that? Does anyone know of any upgrades we can do for polaris snomobiles?

I want to go snowmobiling.

I just bought some studded tires for my bicycle and some Nokian RSi's for my car, I've never had any vehicle with snow tires so I'm excited! plus I fixed the cardan joint in my jeep's front driveshaft

I bought it off a guy parting out his sled. It's an RK Tek head. http://www.2strokeheads.com/ Apparently one of the better aftermarket heads out there.
There are plenty of upgrades out there for any type of sled. It surprising though what just proper clutching and gearing can do for a sled.

That is nice and simple but I really enjoy the Northern cam network where you can view all the different webcams to see actual conditions on his site.
