Re: Evo- no more?
Maybe they will start selling the 4B11T to the Koreans if Mitsu doesn't have anything to put it in. I'd imagine that they spent a lot developing the motor and they couldn't possibly have gotten their money out of it yet.
I've spent most of the day reading up on the Elise/Exige. I need to get me a ride in one of those this Summer. |

Cars I'll consider instead when it comes time to replace the X:

Re: Evo- no more?
yeah this is a bummer! Hopefully they will have somthing come out, but if not... my list would consist of ...
GT-R (if prices on used come down) STI (if they change the styling to something I like) Elise/Exige maybe: ISF CTS-V Something Audi (RS3 if it comes here) Mini Countryman (the WRC edition they are going to make) |

Re: Evo- no more?
This looks like 1975 all over again when everybody jumped on the shitbox wagon and produced such memorable cars as the Dodge Omni, Chevy Vega and who could forget the Mustang II? Eventually they all came back to their senses because the reality is, nobody really wants to drive a fucking Prius. I'm sure this will be the nail in the coffin for Mitsu, who other than the Evo has absolutely sucked at cars and trucks for a decade.

The Lotus sell for nearly half of their sticker price with just a few thousand miles on them. If you're looking for a road course vehicle then it's compelling because they are track-ready out of the box. Throw a set of pads on the Exige and your 'modding' is done. You end up spending $15k in mods to get the Evo anywhere near that level and we all know that mods are worth $0 when it comes time to sell the car. |

Re: Evo- no more?
Just need to budget for a Honda K-series swap into the Lotus, since the Toyota motor they come with is a piece of shit. :)

Re: Evo- no more?
Yea... Lotus' arent fast at all, so comparing them to an evo is not the same...
