Re: Auto show 05

Went on Saturday evening...sure was some nice cars. I couldn't believe how small the Lotus Elise was. Got a picture in the vette. That yellow porsche was NICE! Evo, Sti, blah blah...yeah I know I'd like one but still blah blah. The car that I liked most and can actually afford was the IG35 coupe (Pearl White?)...I can still see it in my head. I didn't really care for the cars...I was more into the Denali & Navigators:D...don't hate! Must get SUV:eek:

Free passes for me courtesy of Lexus of Wayzata. Check out the new 2006 Lexus GS 330 AWD. I detailed 4 of them. :)

The show was boring. The highlight was looking at a Volvo S60 R AWD, black with pumpkin orange leather and a six-speed. Mmmm, sexy. So the 22-year salesman comes up and tells me I need this car, I tell him I've had several Volvos recently but not an R model. He tells me it's not a family car, it's a race car. Sure buddy, that 300bhp in a 4000lb car will really blur your vision. Then he tells me I can get a good price on the show model. I said, no thanks, I can buy that car in 3 months for $5000 under your best show price. He walked away confused. :D

I was SOOO drooling over the Elise! That thing is sweet as hell. I made me start rethinking the kit car thing! I was amazed at how tight of a fit the C6 was. It was almost as big of a bitch as getting in/out of Nash's car with a cage in it. I wasn't that impressed. I would definatley buy the Elise over the vette. The saturn Sky looked very nice as did the dodge show car.

Yah the Saturn Sky (from pics on TV and so forth) looks like an Awesome droptop for the price. And for a Saturn it sure has more of an upscale look to it. Great move for Saturn IMO. :)

I plan on going Saturday. I have yet to go to any car show, ever. I guess that sets the bar pretty low, huh? lol.
