Actually, the Neon ACR's were very competent autocrossers/roadracers;)

But neons are still wrong wheel drive econobox's that fall apart.

MSRP for an EVO RS is $29,149. Even at that, anyone who pays MSRP for a vehicle (especially a Mitsu) is a fool.

The only vehicle designed by Scion is the TC. The others are vehicles that were already being used in Japan under the Toyota badge. And since Scion is owned by Toyota, they just used the already existing design. I personally don't mind them at all. Maybe it's because I lived in Japan for a year and those kinda vehicles are what 90% of the island drove, so they just grew on me.

Anyhow, ya that Dodge think is ugly!

I don't like the XB's.. Like I said, they make me think the designer was lazy... But to each their own, and I never knew that.. Though it makes sense.

Personally, I really like SRT-4's. In the beginning of the thread [I may have misread] it seemed like a few of you were hating on them a little bit, but they are really nice. Especially Alec's. Well maybe that has something to do with the fact that he waxes it like every other or something. :rolleyes: But it's quick, and it sounds nice, and I think they look good. Especially with Eye Lids. The concept of the SRT-4 is interesting to me, as well as the STi and EVO's... A basic "grocery-getter"... and all of the sudden, its quick! And people want them! However, I wouldn't be going out and spending$20-30k on one. But I do like them.

I guess it just depends on your opinion. I think the same about the 2g's. The majority of the 2g people are more concerned with carbon fiber hoods, lowering kits, body kits and wheels than performance.

Haha, like you just stated, it's a matter of opinion. I can't talk though, but mine's slow so it doesn't count. any 2g should have a lowering kit.. most don't look right with out it. And I'm not saying I wouldn't ever get a 1g either, I want one next spring, but we will have to wait and see.

As for the Neon replacement thing, I think it will just be another Neon, except it won't say Neon. Cheap Econo car with a 235HP motor in it, and some other stuff changed to hold up to the power. A true sports car? No. Fast? Possibly, depends on how heavy it ends up being.

As for the 2G VS 1G thing, I say they're both ugly. GVR4 for life.

I didn't know STi's and Evo's were considered "grocery-getters." Only reason I see that could be said is that they have four doors.

Impreza... Lancer.. base models of each car. Both of which I see mom's haulin' around their kids. They are the nicer of the grocer-getters, but I know a lot of people joke of them that way. It's my opinion, but I've heard other people say that to.

Their not grocery getters, their detuned rally cars sold as production cars, cause they have to make productions of the cars they use for rallying. #2 the 1G is way sexyer than a Bubbly 2G!!! #3 anyone thats gone to the track and payed any attention to whats going on around them knows that the SRT-4 neon motor is a very capable motor that can keep up to the cars they always get compaired to, evo's and WRX's. and for a few G's less. Alec proved you can mod a SRT-4 like a DSM, more boost and good gas.

I read an article in sport compact car where they tore down an SRT4s engine. It was impressive!

Dodge did a great job overbuilding that car...engine, drivetrain, everything. They had to though, still offering a 7/70 powertrain warranty even with the no-lift-to-shift upgrade stage!

I am really impressed with dodge on that one. If they came in anything but FWD I would probably own one right now.
