So he's a dousche. Who cares? Don't talk to him, don't care about him and his skyliiiiiiiiine. Yay, another japanese car in America. big whoopieeeee. Supras are still better overall cars.

I have to disagree there. While supras are still cool, it kind of sucks when they make all this horsepower, but most get sh*tty times at the track. I am more of a skyline fan than a supra, but would take any of them in a heartbeat haha.

AWD>RWD imo. But I'm FWD so I can't say too much lol.

Just ignore the guy if he is a douche about his car. That's the best advice I can give.

Your funny. :hah:

AWD is cool and all but RWD at the track can and will perform just as good if properly set up. A set of sticky tires and the right suspension will dominate any comparable AWD.

And the whole comment about the supra not getting good times at the track? How many have you seen run and how many can you actually comment on? I assume you are just carrying on the old internet bs that high hp supras still only run a 12.:spin:

Yeah, I almost shit myself when a friend told me his 60 foot times were in the 1.4 range. He has RWD, and most of us AWD guys would kill for those kinds of 60ft times.

A friend of mine has some sort of Skyline, I'm not sure about all that "R" stuff. It's rear wheel drive and has a big single on it. I don't like it because the damn steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car and I don't like shifting with my left hand. It looks like rice to me, but everyone seems to love it.

:fishing1:

Here's a picture of it.

Yep, AWD only matters on street tires. A nicely setup RWD anything can pull 1.0-1.3 60's easy.

Exactly. You get used to it. I have a harder time with my expectation of where the vehicle will be, but you get used to that as well.

Yeah, like I said a well prepped RWD usually = 4 link, auto, and a high stall converter. Not too hard to just stomp on the brake and gas.

b00stcreep21 07-08-2007 06:41 PM

Re: Nissan Skyline R33

A four link isn't exactly the easiest thing to set up... Then again, everything's easy in the intro-net world

DBMajik 07-08-2007 10:02 PM

Re: Nissan Skyline R33

God I love the internet, I didn't say a 4 link was easy to set up. I said it was easy to do 1.0-1.3 60's with a nicely setup RWD.

That's pretty sweet, is it a GTR? We have an R32 GTR in at work last summer for a clutch that was pretty sweet, almost 100% stock but still a sweet looking car, the only Skyline I've ever seen up close and in person. I'm sure alot of people on here have seen it because he drives it on the street quite a bit.

Boun's car is an R33 GT-R, yeah.

BTW Boun, I'm the guy with the Evo that used to work with Josh at O'Reilly.

Re: Nissan Skyline R33

There are currently 2 skylines for sale down here and one is a white R33 gtr wants i beliebe 28, 000 stock other is a black R33 gtts or something(modded) wants 38, 000. There was a blue one that I posted up a while ago with low compression I'm one cylinder that was 30min from me guy sold it for $12, 000 with the bad motor.

As we get closer to the 25yr mark I'm sure these will become much more common in the states
