Lowered GSR with some wicked wheels.
http://www.hkskansai.co.jp/html/news...kokuchi/00.jpg Here is a stock phantom black car. Looks dark grey when the light hits it and black in low light. http://response.jp/issue/2007/1016/a...ges/156126.jpg |
Re: Evo X
Stop that shit Jet! Everytime you post a new pic up it grows on me.
|
Re: Evo X
The white one looks great!
|
Re: Evo X
Thats exactly what I was talkin about last night, Chris!
Fuck me man I would live on the streets if I could drive that white one to work every day. No joke. |
Re: Evo X
Damn, that phantom black car is awesome! Time to start saving some more pennies. ;)
later, Curt |
Re: Evo X
It is growing on me.
|
Re: Evo X
It is growing on me too. The white is ok except for the flat black plastic on the front end. That phantom black looks awesome!
|
Re: Evo X
Phantom black sounds like it will be an MR only color. No one has seen a yellow one yet and the blue is pretty bright, more like the Evo VII blue.
|
Re: Evo X
Yup, the black is MR only and has gold colored flake in it.
|
Re: Evo X
I'd seriously be tempted to trade the 6 for a white one!

Re: Evo X
Here's some info on the various trim levels I snagged off of evolutionM:
1. The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will come to the U.S. in two trimlines: The GSR & the MR. A. The GSR will only be available in a 5 speed manual gearbox. B. The GSR will come in one of two ways: Base A00 package and a 'sight, sound & wing' A04 package. a. The GSR will be available in 5 colors: i. Wicked White ii. Cool Silver iii. Rally Red iv. Graphite Gray v. A GSR-only Octane Blue (which replaces Electric Blue and is not as metallic) b. The A00 package GSR will come with halogen headlamps and the MSRP is priced at $35,000~ c. The A04 'SSW' package will add on HIDs, a 650 Rockford sound system and the rear wing spoiler. No detail on cost. C. The MR will only be available in a TC-SST transmission. D. The MR will come in one of two ways: Base A06 package and an 'luxury' A11 package. a. The MR will be available in 5 colors: i. Wicked White ii. Cool Silver iii. Rally Red iv. Graphite Gray v. An MR-only Phantom Black (which replaces Tarmac Black and has gold metallic flake in it) b. The A06 package MR will come with HIDs, color coded trimmings and upgraded wheels, suspension and rear wing & starts at $40,000~ c. The A11 'luxury' package will include a 30GB HDD MMCS Navigation system, FAST key, bluetooth, cruise control, climate control, etc... Mitsubishi is looking for the sales leader to be the 'SSW' GSR. They are also looking at the median household income of a GSR buyer to be around $90k and the MR buyer to be around $112k. |
Re: Evo X
Wow. Wicked White for the damn win. I'd sell my soul.
|
Re: Evo X
Don't sell your soul, just save your money!
Here's a nice vid of some of the mechanicals, check out the stock turbo. Very long outlet, nice radiused inlet, not entirely bad, but its gonna be a bitch to work on! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzAVbHcgKvA |

The A11 'luxury' package will include a 30GB HDD MMCS Navigation system, FAST key, bluetooth, cruise control, climate control, etc... -- Depending on the actual true features, the final interior layout we get in the states, and the details on the warrenty I'd think that a EVO luxury package would be fair in the 36k - 44k range varied by markets and such. It it was quicker (duh, it should be) and just as, or more comfortable than the 6, I don't think we'd have a problem with it. The whole reason we didn't get an EVO when car shopping is the fact we both hated the design and overall comforts of the interior. I'll push for a local test drive when they come in. |
Re: Evo X
That doesnt matter to me.. lol
I wouldnt ever buy a new car anyway so once it comes down in price I might be interested in it. Except prolly not, since that would be about 2 years from now, and by then the new 400hp M3's would be much lower in price. :) |
Re: Evo X
14.5 gallon gas tank is all?
Doesn't seem to weigh all that much, about as much as a stock 2g. |
Re: Evo X
I think the prices he has stated are a bit high. A IX MR retails at $37,000 though, so probably not a lot high since SST will be standard. Weight is not much more than the current Evo, 100 lbs max with a manual being 59 lbs more than a IX MR.

Re: Evo X
it looks like a skyline crossbread with a s70 volvo!

That video was awesome, thanks for the link, Scheides.

Re: Evo X
Maybe a shark ready to eat up slow Stratus'

Re: Evo X
would let it suck it up in a heart beat...
|
Re: Evo X
Is an '06 EVO MR worth getting? I've been eyeing one with low miles, but the price is still high almost equivalent to a new EVO X ~ 32k.
Discuss. |
Re: Evo X
the 6speeds give up the ghost when going for respectable power. So if you plan on going the bigger turbo route it would not be in your best interests.
|
Re: Evo X
Looks like they changed their mind, Evo X WILL be in WRC.

Re: Evo X
Wow leave it to Mitsu not to change a thing about color. But holy fog lights. hahaha Can not wait to see if the Evo X dominates WRC like the VI did.
|
Re: Evo X
I don't think the X will do well, it has too much overhang and is just too big of a car. I think it will do well on the tarmac stages though, like the last Evo's. If nothing else this should speed up Evo X go fast parts.

Re: Evo X
Yay!!!!! Looks awesome!!!
