picked up a head gasket from spaz yesterday and got the head on. Also clocked the evo 3 turbo and had to cut the bolt out of the o2 housing since I could not get both nuts on the bolts with the down pipe on. Just used a new bolt since the flange was slotted to start with and was able to use the stock nuts to bolt it all up with the help of spaz.

Looking good. I have to pull my visors apart as well when I put in a suede headliner in the GSX this winter.

If by "with the help of spaz" you mean I held a wrench on a bolt that wasn't spinning anyway, then yes, I helped. :D

It is getting cold out now. I worked on it a little bit today. got the a/c pump on,alt on, put power steering back in the car. also rebuilt the tial waste gate and made a j pipe.

Dad came by today and we put the timing belt on the car. Also put the cas and rail/injectors on to seal the rest of the engine up till I get a intake manifold. and got the lower piping all hooked up

Been working out in the cold the last 2 days. I got a new rear bumper on the car now I found at the junk yard. it has no holes in it like the old one. It was cheaper to buy this one over me fixing the old one on the car. also picked up a heat shield for 5.00 local. The evo 3 intake manifold and coil bracket showed up picked it up for 75.00 shipped since I sold the 2 that I had years ago.
What I got done. timing cover is on all pullys and belts are on the car. got the oil cooler mounted and -an lines on the ofh to the oil cooler. Got the evo 3 intake on, all the wiring is on. just got done baking the head lights took out the amber turn lights. heated in the over @ 350 for 15min. With them that warm I was able to pull them apart and put them back together with the glue still hot to get them to seal back up. http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...r/DSC03942.jpg |

I got the head light's in. the wire is broken some were for the pass side low beam. Other wise all the other lights work.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...r/DSC03950.jpg Also when to radio shack and picked up 2 8ohm 20watt resistors to go in line to get the rear turn signals to work right and rewired the brake lights,reverse lights to work with the talon tails just like they do on the talon from the factory. I got out all the trunk panels out and back in the car. some parts showed up the other day. 1000cc injectors I got them in a trade. hts 45 and 90 coupler. just need the 45 and they were new on ebay together and I ended up getting them cheaper than just buying a 45 coupler. Also stm s.s. full clutch line it was the only black fri thing I bought.

You'd just need a map sensor and the wiring wasn't that hard from what I remember. I just bought a iat pigtail from napa for a few bucks and wired it up myself.

I have a cable for a maft set up to run it in the car so I think I will just cut it up to make the SD cable. It would be just like the one dsm link sells.
Also today I took the intake out,sanded it down and painted it. It is now hanging down stairs in front of the fire place drying :) Will get pics in the mooring. |

painted the intake pipe in the basement shop last night and used the gas fire place to get it to cure between coats. also cut about 2in off the cold pipe were it comes through in to the bumper the filter was lower than the bumper.

took the dash back out today to see what is going on with no lights when the door opens,no home link,no map lights. found a broken wire and got it fix but still no go. Got the wiring fixed for the front windows now they work. Still have to figure out the pass rear window since it does not work. also the top switch is not working. I did start making a oil catch can. Took it out of the hatch and rewelded it since who ever made it did a crappy job. just have to get fittings to weld on and then paint it. |

got the catch can all done and in the car. Just need to get some more clamps for the lines.

cut the top off the sub box to give me more room in the trunk. did not want to take it all the way out if I ever want to put some kind of 10in sub in it. It had a 15in flat ppi sub back in the day. just have to make a new floor since the one I have for it is cut out for the sub.
