Here is the new PURE stage 2 turbo that came out, I have the stage 1. This thing is only on 18psi so far! He pulled a Z06 C7 pretty hard!

Is it just me or does it seem like he steals the hit a lot.

Either way, still sweet.

I don't understand how they are frum roll racing. Most of those cars aren't launching from the start.

BUT REGARDLESS... holy mother of God that is a fast car!!

Re: RicerPete's BMW

They go at the last set of cones. This is a big thing now and they are called roll race events. Usually it is 1/2 mile. I know they do one in Chicago.

Peter- yeah he did jump the gun a bit on the last few. Most of the others were pretty even though.

Someone just put down 536whp at 23 psi. Rough tune on it yet as there is no flash available for that car yet. Should see big numbers out of a 2011/2012 car soon hopefully! 2011's are all flashable, so that is sweet.

I got a chance to get a ride in Jet's car, and holy smokes it was awesome! Thanks again, Jet!

Today I removed the 335i and xDrive badges. It looks so much cleaner now. I'll take a pic tomorrow when there is more light out.

Did you remove the turbos for the kit you ordered?

No, Pat. That comes later!

Small update, but some interesting things I found about bumper plugs.

So looking online, a set of bumper plugs runs in the $25 dollar range without shipping, which is ridiculous. On top of that, most require you to enlarge the holes that are already in the bumper.

I started thinking of something else I could use, and did some searching online. I found a solution that costs an incredible $2.40!

Went to Lowes, got 4 of these.

Trimmed one side down with a knife.

Popped them in.

There was no need to paint these, they were pretty shiny on the top. For those with non-black cars, a simple rattle can paint job should do just fine.

With the plugs in, I installed my tow hook license plate holder. The chrome frame will be going away soon. I forgot to take the one I had off the GC before I traded it in.

WTF on the right side?? Glitch in the matrix!

Here is the part number in case anyone else wants to do this super cheap mod.

Thanks Pete! This made me look and Florida doesn't require a front plate. woot!

polishmafia 04-28-2015 07:27 PM

Re: RicerPete's BMW

Oh thats awesome! You can use those plugs to cover any holes you might have in your bumper.

Re: RicerPete's BMW

Take off that front plate! Not like you go anywhere anyway. ;)

Plate holder looks good. I think I have a similar one. Works well.

Re: RicerPete's BMW

I got mine from US Millworks. Really solid piece, I'm happy with it. I just didn't want to get one that didn't cover the entire back part of the plate.

Re: RicerPete's BMW

Not a huge update, but I did have my car coded to unlock some features that were disabled from the factory.

- Keyfob can be used to roll down all windows and sunroof
- Keyfob can be used to roll up all windows and sunroof, and fold in side view mirrors
- DVD will now play in all gears, not just park
- Some other small stuff that was just preference

Overall, the updated features are pretty cool. Really happy with the few bucks that it cost.

C3L1CA 08-18-2015 08:27 AM

Re: RicerPete's BMW

That sounds like a cool little upgrade. Do you have to take it to the dealer to do that or how do you unlock it?

polishmafia 08-18-2015 08:29 AM

Re: RicerPete's BMW

I had a guy in California mail me a USB to OBD cable. We both logged into a virtual machine and he did everything remotely. Took about 30 minutes.

Shit like that is awesome, my 540i does the auto roll down I like it.

Auto down/up is awesome. Zee Germans definitely got that right!

Re: RicerPete's BMW

Nice work. I have messed with the coding a little. There is an android app called carly (i think). I can do coding via my blue tooth dongle. super easy just select what you want on and off.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...whatFull&hl=en

I will have to look into the DVD thing though. I tried playing a DVD one time, and I couldn't get it to work. Gonna have to look into that.

I did look into that Carly/BMWhat app. Some people think its great, others thought it was junk. I just decided I'd let a professional do it.

Yeah I would say it isn't perfect. But it lets me check/clear BMW codes, which I needed to do, and I was able to do some codeing as a side bonus.

Ahh, that makes sense. For me, I have a Goodyear full of techs with BMW software scanners, plus a warranty at the dealer if anything should go wrong.

Nothing major, but I did want to post up since Brandon did. I also ordered a set of Aries 3D all weather floor mats. The fitment is great, the look is very sleek. There are some slight concerns where the water and slush will pile up, but I'm not too worried about it. The middle section is the lowest part of the floor, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I also put on the wheel and snow tire package I bought from Jet. I think it looks badass. Very aggressive looking.

Sank u!

I was really surprised at how much the stock wheels weigh vs the winter setup. The winter setup must be at least 10 pounds a wheel lighter.

Mats and wheels look good!
These cars are falling in price it's insane, I can't get over how nice they are especially for the price.

Looking good all around! I like those mats vs. the typical over-priced WeatherTechs.

First problem with the BMW happened today. I am really happy I got the all weather floor mats, or this would have soaked all into the carpet.

I've searched a few forums, and it looks like there could be three causes for the water to leak there. I'll have to take a look in the morning.
