But even Raleigh NC my friend Chris with the car shipping business. Pays $1200 a year in taxes. On a 5 bedroom house. And he is in the chapel hill arear which has great schools.

True, but I want 5+ acres and a hobby farm setup ideally as the girlfriend has horses and I want space for car shenanigans. So unless I can find that for rent cheaper than buying (which I haven't yet, usually its a $1000+ month delta), its better to buy; plus the write off helps me a lot due to my tax bracket, uncle sam gets a good junk of me due to renting right now.

I'll start the process either way this spring.

I am announcing that I decided to accept this position and relocate to Texas. I think it'll be a good move. A new start with new beginnings. We will be heading out sooner then expected by January 10th. They offered a great income, along with a furnished apartment, all I have to do is pick out our furniture. I would have texted everyone individually, but I thought it would be easier to post it on Facebook. All of you are awesome and I promise that I will never forget any of you, nor the amazing memories. My family wasn't enthused but over Christmas, we will for sure be looking at how long until they move and where, and it that's the case it will influence the peace of mind about it for me.

That said, I can't afford Texas though is has my heart. I have family visiting from the Carolina's that I forgot live over there frankly, or as close to where I had in mind anyway, since I haven't heard from them since they left Green Bay/Fox River. So it might just be the best way I can go to Myrtle and the rest of the area and still catch some solid vaca touristy stuff and enjoy the road trip.

The job market versus relative housing costs mainly. Then I again I haven't looked that deep.

Josh you want acreage? In my area that's something there is plenty of and cheap.

Along with horses. You can't go wrong as the "Carolina cup" race track is like 1/2mile from my house and this area has tons of equestrian. Trails.

With lumber farming being huge in my area , when people. Cut the trees down some will then post up the land for sale afterwards.
Been a while so my number may be off but if memory serves me. The year i moved here there was 300 acres for sale in my county for $15000. Yes 15,000

Mostly just land that was once nothing but trees. Got cleared and instead of planting and waiting for them to grow again some owners just want to unload the property.

Now where the property was located was probably in the middle of no where far from anything.

But I do see timber clearing, everywhere. And I have to pass the lumber mill (canfor) everyday on my way into work.

My area has lots and lots of hills so a lot of this land would be like owning a cabin in the. Mountains.
