Sad part it they had to issue warnings this past week advising other Hmong people to not go hunting in WI due to possible retaliations. Fucking WI trash. I blame this partly on the media for stressing "asian man" over and over again rather than just calling by his name.
|
The sad part is that just like OJ, those high profile lawyers will end up getting him off the hook. Nice to see the justice system and tax dollars going to such a good use!

Hmmm..... i'm from Wisconsin and now i'm trash??? The guy is from St. Paul but regardless of where he's from he murdered 6 people. I'd like to think that 75-80% or even higher, population of the U.S. is white people. So when a foreigner commits something like this, of course they're gonna say Asian or whatever he is. What's this got to do with Wisconsin? This was all over the national news, CNN, etc... Last year(just south of here) a guy was shot to death by 2 bullets to the back, by what witnesses say a Hmong man with a similar or same bullet(i'm not sure what they said), and the vehicle matches what he was driving. These were statements made a year ago, not just recently after all this came about. To say that WI is trash is ridiculous. Perhaps you'd feel a little different if this happened closer to your neighborhood. |
I dont know why they're going to put him on trial. He already said that he killed all of those people, so you know he wont win. The lawyers are only doing this for the money and publicity IMO. I say lock him up and get this over with. It sucks to have the same last name as him. People think he is my uncle! I dont know why some people are supporting him, if he can kill that many people and still keep a straight face on tv then he deserves life in prison.
|
Yea why would you say that Chris about WI... Doesnt matter where it happened, people will still fall back on their ideas and biases toward other people... Look at 9/11, all middle eastern people where looked at the same way... So I guess everyone else is trash too.
You dont know what his intentions are or if anyone else is involved around this issue. Supposedly he was hunting with a few people that never stepped up, so maybe next week they will go psycho too? All Im saying is you never know who is going to do what and if people will look at hmong people in the area and have some kind of gut feeling then let them have it, who knows what their intentions or anyones intentions are in this world. Its just easier to stereotype when it affects you this way... |
I don't understand what his race has to do with this. If a white guy kills some one, people don't say, some white guy killed some one. Some of you (and the media) need to watch how you word things.
|
I never said anything about hmong people being bad... I dont think race has to do with it either... considering he is a US citizen for what 20+ years? Im just saying people will watch or be more cautious especially in the immediate area of north west WI.
|
WI is a mainly blue-collar state, doesn't mean there aren't exceptions.
P.S. Stop taking offense to everything, more than half my family is from WI. |
I live in WI right now, and most people can go to hell (really bad drivers)
|
here is a link to the criminal complaint, read all of this and i think this will change all of your minds on this case!!!

Haha! really bad drivers... That's not even funny. I used to live in Burnville and drove to Old Shakopee Road every day to get to work. I always saw a wreck it seems. If i wasn't seeing a wreck i was hearing it on KDWB's traffic report of how traffic was backed up because of some idiot who caused a wreck. I listen to the scanner at night when i'm bored. This past Friday when we had that storm, i bet 3 or 4 of the 8+ people that went in the ditch(our county) were Minnesota 10-28's. There is bad drivers in EVERY state. On another note, I don't think that race has anything to do with this either. The majority of the U.S. population is white so when something happens on the news involving a white person, wouldn't it be kind of awkward saying a U.S. white person did..... ?? I also don't think that the media is making too much of this either. Look at the friggin Scott Peterson trial. He killed less people and that was on all the time. Stuff like this shouldn't happen period, but when it happens in a small community, you can't understand the ramifications that it does. Not that the twin cities are a huge crime area, but unless a shooting happens at your next door neighbors house, you tend to forget about it. When it happens in a small community of 500 people, that never leaves you. I don't hunt but both my brothers hunt and now i'm permanently affected by this. Just like 9/11. I've been on a plane once since and i will admit that when i got on that plane, the first thing i did was look around to see who was among me. A permanent scar shown. |

You're way off topic, but I will say that if he were using a "real" hunting weapon with a round designed to take down deer, there would be 8 dead. Not 6 dead and 2 wounded. And I'm going to take a guess that the people he killed were shot more than once. |

CRAP! our gas just went up 5 cents to 1.97/gallson 87 oct. Probably funding those dam lawyers now! Bastards.

Those victims would be in peices if the guy had a 30-6 (pretty normal deer hunting gun).

My opinion on this whole issue is that I think that Vang heard the hunters say they are going to call the police. And he weighed his options thinking that he might get caught for other crimes or just get in trouble in general. As well as feeling cornered and threatened. There is no doubt in my mind that the hunters didn't use there best judement in the way that they approached Vang. But I don't think the hunters fired the first shot. Did any of you here the recent news? That four out of the six dead were shot in the back. All of them atleast twice and some as much as four times? So if Vang was just defending himself, why the hell is he shooting people that are running away. I think that after he shot the first two people, everybody else just turns into a witness. Which in his mind at that point is someone who will lead to his capture. So in turn he just shoots everybody he can hoping to kill them. Some people say that Vang was shooting them in the back because he thought that they were running to their ATVs to get more guns. Come on Vang you dumbshit thats about as dumb as you saying that one of the hunters started shooting their own friends. What a dumbfuck.
CRAIG And for his punishment. Some big fucking dude in prison will be shooting something on his back for a change, and he would wish that it was a bullet. And he will deserve every bit abuse he gets. |
Craig-- couldn't agree with you more.
Our tax dollars will fund someone that murdered 6 people, to sit in prison. Come on, something is wrong with that. |

all i have to say is read the the link i put down it is mostly his statements and he can't plea insainity he said this morning that he is not insaine!!!
here it is agian http://www.doj.state.wi.us/news/COMPLAINT.pdf read it all!! |
Yea I read it what is your point????
I cant agree with you more Craig! |
Man, after reading that report it is even worse than I thought it was before! I think the stoning might even be too nice for him now. Rotting in prison is WAY to nice for that bastard!
|
Ok, i read the thing. First off, it's long and dry. :)
That said; no one should ever try to escalate an arguement like that! How drunk or just stupid did the other guys ahve to be? If someone were hunting on the land at my family's farm, I would simply send my sister to ask them to leave. That's just because no one is gonna feel threatened by her. I'd tell her to be very nice and polite. I would then, at the same time, be prone and making use of my scope. It's not that hard to get along folks! If someone was dumb enough to yell and swear or use slurs at/on me (and i do mean a stranger here) and did it in a threatening way, i'd punish them. I'd punish them and any one of their friends that's watching and didn't stop them. |
Don't get me wrong here. I think this is a horrible thing to have happened! I hate to think about what the familys are going through, and i do mean all the familys. I think that the secound group (i can't keep the names straight and who was where) of people were just sensless and needless deaths but I would have hurt the first guy.
|
i wish wisconsin had the death penalty for this guy.
|
I'd still be up for a lynching.
|
Prison is no cakewalk. Espcally (yeah that's how i spell it) if you did something that's actually wrong (wrong is different from illegal). My point is that he won't have a fun time in prison.

You sound pretty tough. :D CRAIG |
gee, do I? It's not about being tough, that's how people get shot. I think we've proved that.
BTW, my sister can beat you up |

And your point is? I have a couple of Hmong friends, that doesn't mean I pitty the piece of shit who did this in any way. If a white hunter had done this to 6 Hmong people I would feel exactly the same. He slaughtered/executed 5 unarmed people in cold blood. That makes him a worthless piece of shit nomatter what his race or who knows him. |
Re: Deer Hunting
My point is that we all really do not know what happened. We all do not really know if he slaughtered / executed the people. If that was the case, he could have walked over and blown each to bits.
He killed people, thats all we know. From all the evidence, we can conclude that he shot more than once to the people from behind. He used 1 entire clip and reloaded the people. From one witness, we hear that the shots fired was not a gunshot war. It happened in a short amount of time. We know that the guys he shot confronted him. We know that the guys called for guns and so one guy's daughter came over. The information presented for the case is given. What we don't know is what actually happened besides words being thrown to guys being down. So for the most part, we don't know what led up to it. Show a little more sensitivity. - For the most part, his actions were wrong. To everything else, i'm speechless....Your opinions are yours, mine are mine. The harshness sometimes is hard to take, thats all. |

How about some sympathy for the family of the 6 people he MURDERED. They will only be able to visit their loved ones at the cemetary. At least Vangs family/friends can visit him in prison. I am not trying to be a dick but My cousin is from WI and is very good friends with the nephew of one of the murdered hunters. |

The news where i usually take my information on is news.yahoo.com and from there, you can find the local news, which they take from pioneer press at times. I read what i could. And to sum it up, http://www.twincities.com/mld/pionee...ntent=twc_news If their info is incorrect, i have no further use for the media. As for shooting point blank, i have missed that. Saying some of the guys deserved to die, why would he say that? Most likely in anger but would there be any other reason? As for invading private land, yep, i agree with them there. If someone invaded my land, i'd be pretty ticked too. But according to Terry Willers testimony, Chai Vang apologized and was leaving. If someone invaded my property, i would be cautious. I would be mad. I can understand that, but what else happened? Also yes, they did call for guns. That is how Jessica Willers got in the mixup. He's a murderer? According to court, he's guilty. he showed no remorse? There are people who don't show it right away. I myself don't when i do wrong. But with murder on my mind, i wouldn't know. Sympathy for the families of the people who lost their loved ones, I haven't said a single thing against them. I'm not trying to say he's innocent. I'm not trying to say the others are guilty. All i'm trying to say is that there is more than what is told and found. All i want to know, is the truth. --- Sorry if it seems like i came out harsh and what not at the beginning.. This is a heated topic. Least it is for me, so if my thoughts aren't coming out clearly, i apologize. |
Re: Deer Hunting
Yeah, we would all like to know exactly how it all went down, but sometimes the raw facts speak for themselves, and no amount of "what ifs" make it any less terrible.
