Anyone have an H&K p2000 that I could shoot before I buy one?

Re: The Gun Thread

What happened to .45? I mean still great gun, I have a friend who owns one of every H&K ever made and I'll ask if he'd be alright sharing...

Re: The Gun Thread

So, I needed up buying that P2000 and selling my XDs .45.

Anyone want to buy two boxes (50 count each) of .45 ACP FMJ (ball ammo). Or better yet, I would trade for 100 rounds of .40 S&W.

Has anyone owned or shot a CZ 75 P09 or Beretta 92FS? What are your thoughts on these two guns?

Trogdor 07-15-2014 11:09 PM

Re: The Gun Thread

Not specifically the 92 fs. But I have fired the 92a1. They're sloppy feeling. Their tolerances are real lose, so they're reliable under a lot of different conditions. But that's also what makes them feel sloppy and inaccurate.

If anyone has a Saiga variant rifle, hang on to them. There will be no more importation of Saiga rifles from now on. More than likely the prices on them will go up.

I've been looking to sell my Ruger LC9 and/or my Ruger SR22 Rifle. Mainly if the opportunity was there I'd sell them and use the funds to pick up a 1911 .45.

Re: The Gun Thread

Kraka, any update on that 1911?

I picked up a M&P 45 with an apex trigger kit and a M&P 4.25" pro series 9mm today. All I need now is a nice 1911 and I'm good for a while.

I am going to be heading to Metro pretty soon, probably within the next 2 weeks. I need to break in my pistol.

Metro is decent and they always have groupons too. $10 for an hour, hard to beat! Not quite as nice as Bills, but usually less busy and I am there to shoot, not look at the walls :D

Well I now own a Walther PPS .40 and my dad also picked up a Walther P99 .40 at the same time. We love both and are gonna take the CCW course at Metro on the 6th. In the mean time, my lovely lady ordered this for me: https://squareup.com/market/rkba-con...le-iwb-holster

I hope it works as well as it looks. Anybody have a holster like this? My gun is only .9" thick though so almost anything should be fairly easy to work with being the stick figure I am...

I picked up a simple holster like that for my carry gun, H&K p30 Vs 2 LEM trigger in 40S&W and all I need todo is loose a few inches and I am good to go. I plan to pick up a open carry level 2 holster as well, and possibly a under the arm for summer use, we will see.

I was curious about the under arm tight fit style for summer or activities too where I need a little tighter fit. Let me know how it works! I'm pretty dang slim so I think I should be good. I got the rougher finish so hopefully enough friction for most activities in the mean time.

Picked this baby up from Arnzen Arms after pestering them for months. Got it for just under MSRP and tossed in a case of 1000 rnds of 9mm. I shot 150 rounds through it at bills the other day and it is a BLAST. Can't wait to buy a sig brace adapter and some 30 round mags :)

Re: The Gun Thread

I wouldn't bother with the sig brace sir. They changed the law on it now. If you shoulder it its now a felony. They knew people were using them to get SBR's around the law...it sucks as I was going to build an SBR with it.

If you really want a stock, get one and go through the 6 month wait and 200 bucks or whatever for an SBR license. Or just do it and be hush hush :)

I also went to Bill's this weekend, got to shoot for the first time in a long time. Shot my walther, my dads 9mm, my dads 380 and my bro's sig m400 ( i think that is what its called). Good day of shooting.

Scored an unfired/new in box Norinco MAK-90 a couple of weeks ago.
Removed the butthole stock and found a square back receiver!

Sorry 'bout the pic quality... If I had a dollar for every pixel in my photos I'd have a dollar

The words you use are the reason the ATF wrote a new opinion letter - Saying the intent of using your Sig brace would be to create an SBR - That word play there is what gets you a felony. I, however, bought a Sig brace to enhance my Ar-15 pistol when shooting with 1 hand. Some things are best left unsaid, if you get my drift.

I am aware of the most recent opinion letter sent from the ATF. I will likely go the NFA route with the scorpion and file the Form 1 to SBR it. I'd like to get an NFA trust setup prior so I can bypass some bologna. In the mean time, an "arm brace" "velcroed onto my arm" will suffice :)

My 10.5" barreled AR-15 pistol needed a brace :)

Scored a BNIB PAP M92 today for a deal and on the way home snagged a Norinco Model D SKS.

My brother and I were out shooting his Kimber 1911 .45 in the backyard yesterday. I had a an old snowmobile piston from a top end rebuild and wanted to see how that would hold up to some rounds. I was amazed to see how well the top held up. The round knocked it back about 15 feet, but it didn't break. The copper mark is the .45 round and the others are .22lr
