Tight fit, but pulled it off. How far will the radiator be pushed to the front? "That's the biggest front mount I've ever seen!"

Yep.

Sure, any specific area you want?

Any weld process close-up you want?

Intercooler piping would be excellent. Tubular manifolds are not of interest to me. Tig or mig, what ever you all use when building intercooler piping.

Sure. We usually TIG IC piping as it is 99% of the time stainless, unless the customer is on a severe budget, then we will MIG mild steel.

Do you want to see raw welds on something? Endtank welds?

Just curious as to what you are looking for. I can have the guys go throw a bead down on some pipes to join them together, or what not.

Some pics of the intercooler welding on my car after a few months of beating it up.

Man that looks like total crap, I'd tear that apart and re-do it. Let me know if you need me to show you how to actually weld.

....JBWeld that is.

JB welding is an aquired skill! I might have to hit you up for some lessons, as I haven't done it in years I might need a refresher course ;).

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

Welding that IC was fun, inside/outside welded endtanks and in/out pipes. Then I used almost all the TIGs power to weld the endtank to the IC core, and about 4 24"x 1/8" alum. rod for one front weld. Chris came in the shop 2-3hours after I welded the IC and he said "hey you just get done welding that", It was a little hot. I will do some weld samples tonight and we will get pics up, it will be nice for the show floor anyways. So SS ic piping, Mild steel/chrome moly cage tube welds, Aluminum welding, and schedual 40 304 SS for the race tubular headers.

Yea, it's all about not touching *anything* except what you are welding together, and then as soon as your finger leaves the welding surface doubling back and wiping it with a paper towel. Pretty tough to get it right, really. If you want to do some practice JB Welding I do *not* suggest masturbation!!!

Yea, right. Try it! The goal is to get off, before the JB hardens!

The digital camera does not want to take a good close up pick for the welds, sorry jakey. I did get some more work done tonight, pics should be up sometime tomorrow. IC pipe is done, down pipe just needs a vband, water to air is mounted now I just need to fab up the custom endtank on the intake manifold side, exhaust manifold is done minus waste gate, then the Intake manifold with a q45 TB is my next project.

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

I am going to try 1 Tial 38mm with a 1bar spring for pump then add another spring for 1.6bar then a MBC and turn it up untill the head blows off the block, switching fuel at about 35psi. The Tial will be just off the #2 and #3 collector just befor the turbo. If that is not enough then I will add a 2nd waste gate. Right now the manifold is divided with a divided flange and the primary runners are within 1" of equal length.

I think your cutting yourself short on wastegate on both boost control and being able to release enough backpressure. What AR turbine?
