4788s is where its at, intake manifold is coming along ok, should have some new pics by the end of the week, and the rest of my fuel system showed up so I can work on that next.

Looks like a Titan pic. Why not the 106mm Thumper? You'd potentially triple your power, instead of doubling it (yawn).

GReddy turbos are like audi's or cadillacs. It's just a gussied up version of the real thing.

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

That may be so, but can you find another vendor that sells mitsu-built turbos that large besides greddy?

Maybe I could, But I won't. This is off topic anyway. More pictures, please! :D

Oh yeah, it looks great! Lets see some more work.

Damn thats what I call a an intake. Nice smooth transition into the runners. no velosity stacks to cause turbulance. I want one !!!!

Are you keeping track of how much filler rod you are using on that manifold? That sucker is beefy, I dont think you will have to worry about it popping under high boost.

We like BIIIG boost...breaking welds on anything we put together is NOT an option.

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

That is cool looking. Will the plenum be square or round and to make those rounded sections, did you 1/4 a tube and use the sections or shape flat sheets?

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

I like the plenum/runner transition you have. Reminds me of the DVDT intake manifold. I don't fully understand the reasons for velocity stacks protruding into the plenum, but to me that design just looks much better. But again I am no fluid dynamics expert, but just in general that looks like it'd work better. Any experts care to chime in on that?

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

I think it will work, and I did use a 1/4 of 2" round tube to make the end of the runners, I plan for the plenum to be round as well. Most of the manifold will be inside/outside welded and welding the runners onto the flange took a lot of amps, but not to much rod, about 1/4 to 1/2 of a rod to make it on one side. After the intake its onto the endtank for the IC then fuel system install.

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

I did plan on making at least 2 smim's once we make a kick ass design that works good on paper and the dyno, so if all goes well we could produce the manifolds, but to make due they would be spendy unless we outsorced the work like everyone else in the smim market.
