Huge thanks to Nick (munchgsx) for coming and towing her home for me.

Car is turning over great, sounds like it has heathy compression, but won't fire up. Won't even come close to firing up, just cranks and cranks. My first thought was it wasn't getting fuel. So while sitting on the shoulder, I checked the ignition and MPI fuses. Both checked out good. I turned the fuel pump on via DSMLink, checked the fuel pressure and it was good, and I could feel the fuel running through the lines. So there went that theory. Got her towed home, and decided to check if I was getting spark. Kinda hard to do with just me and no helper. I unplugged the wires from the plugs, and set them right next to grounded parts of the car, figuring that when I cranked it over, if I have spark I'd hear some arcing. Well, I didn't hear a damn thing. So right now, it's looking like I lost my spark, somehow... I'll have to find someone to help me to verify that though. I'm thinking somehow either my coilpack or transistor died. Which might go hand in hand with my intermittent missfiring I was running into.

Put up a WTB add, so if anyone has a transistor, or coil pack, that I can borrow to see if it fixes the issue. please let me know ASAP!!!!!

See if you when you spin the Cas sensor you trigger the coils.

I have no idea how to do that.

What I did read is that my RPM gauge should jump slightly when I crank the engine over. If the RPM's don't jump, that's pointing to the CAS. That'll be something I'll check as soon as I get home from work.

I might have an ignitor, I'll have to see what year it's for. Pretty sure its for a 2G.

Just got a text from Nick (munchgsx) and he said he thinks he has a spare igniter, coil pack, and CAS. So after work we'll see if any of those fix it hopefully :)

Upgrade to a flux capacitor. They work awesome.

Yeah I was going to suggest the CAS too, often when they just die abrubtly something like that happened. Seems funny it would just shutoff without showing signs before hand.

Another big thanks to Nick. He stopped by with a spare Transistor, Coil Pack, and CAS.

Transistor was good, CAS was good, and the last thing we tried was the Coils, and vroooomm :)

Also something showed up at my front door today :) Hopefully throw her on this weekend! It's the same height as my current one, but 2" longer, and .5" thinner. External fin spacing seems to be pretty "radiator friendly" which was my whole intent. I think I'm going to be real happy with it :D

Upgraded intercoolers for all! That's nice that it was an easy fix. So I expect it'll be out tonight.

Have the new ignition components fixed any of the mis-firing issues?

Awesome that the coils were an easy fix! And sweeet on a new IC.

I don't know yet. It was raining pretty good yesterday and I'm not about to do some rippers on slick roads.

We'll see when it gets nicer out.

Out with the old, and in with the new. You can see the new is 2" longer, and .5" thinner. Also you can see the external fin spacing difference, and how the ETS is a lot more "breathable".

Looks really nice Brandon! ETS makes good stuff.

I like your old IC's end tank design alot better. hopefully the wider openings between the rows will help with your cooling isues.

I completely agree. The end tank design on my old one is why I went with that one instead of a Kinetic (SBR) one. IMO VPE had the best end tank design on a 1G back-door style FMIC out there. Too bad they aren't in business anymore.

But... The goal here was to get more air to the radiator. A small amount of performance may be lost, but that's ok, there is reason behind it.

Looking good in da neighbor hood.

Also your pushing coolant out the overflow, if not its just me.

I just switched my thermostat in the red talon to a 180 degree and drilled 3 small holes in it. That made a HUGE difference with my car getting hot.
