So if that passes the law enforcement shouldnt be able to carry assualt rifles or have high cap mags.

Re: The Gun Thread

If it passes we'll have two choices, yearly registration with fees or risk jail if caught. As long as I'm understanding that right. My AR (being built now by a local guy) and my SR-22 (also got my additional 25 round mags in this week) may be at risk, but I got a feeling the fight in NY and MN are going to be looked at very hard. If you think NY and MN will fight these laws tough, wait till someone trys this shit down south.

Time for homeowners to get creative with storage options, in wall units, and such. :D

There is a provision for law enforcement of course. Not sure if you read that part, or are just saying there shouldn't be a double standard.

Haha, there are no laws in Iowa about this yet but my dad still has his scary guns in secret hiding spots just in case something like this happens. I always thought it was a bit crazy until the past couple days.

That in wall storage is cool, but there are way better options out there with lockable doors on them.

Same thing will happen here, shits going to get deep man. I hope everybody see's where this is going. They've been trying for a long time. I'm just glad alot of CLEO's and armed forces believe in that oath they took.

Why here. We dont any crazy laws up here. no school shootings or mass shootings here. This shouldnt be possible for them to do.

Paul Howe has a pretty level headed outlook if any infringement does make it to law.

Re: The Gun Thread

Why not here? Another state to point to and say "look, they thought it was a good idea" and promote a gun ban. If you can't get it done nationally, do it state by state. If you guys haven't contacted the elected officals, do so and let them know what you think. Here is a copy and paste from an email with some good contact info.

Here is what is going down this week in the MN House of Representatives, it is very important to let your representative know what you would like them to do:
https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bin/bldbi...l&session=ls88
https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bin/bldbi...l&session=ls88 (Inspection of the storage of registered weapons (entering and inspecting your home) see parts 10.14 10.15 10.16)
https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bin/bldbi...l&session=ls88 (ten round max mag. capacity)
https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bin/bldbi...l&session=ls88 (seven round max mag. capacity)
https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bin/bldbi...l&session=ls88 (12mo waiting period for permits to carry)

US Senate Bill (S-150) is what I have been following last week and is still a good one to keep an eye on (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/s150#overview).

Stopped by fleet farm during lunch and the lady said they are raising prices up on ammo. 2 to 4 dollars a box. So I bought all the buckshot and slugs they had.

Powder coated a ak chrome and gold last night. going to do the safety in a glossy black and it should be done. Also added a tapco trigger kit and new grip. Have an original scope mount and scope for it also. It’s so shiny lol.
