Re: My restoration of a 2g GSX
Yeah, I try not to beat around the bush too much. Currently I am a decent intercooler setup, turbo, Evo brembos for the rear and Non ABS proportioning valve from having everything I can think of...Well to make it run decently at least. Next spring I am hoping for. I try to take my time and do it once.

http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h2...3/IMG_0314.jpg Rears are done now. Fronts will hopefully be painted later this week. Yes that is my toilet and bathroom sink. Only place I could find where there was enough light to see them. |

311, I wish I was going to make it out for the dyno day. I still have a ton of work to do to this thing before it is road worthy though. New carpet and dash, decide on a new turbo, buy said turbo, new intercooler and maft setup and then get it tuned. Probably next spring's dyno day. I might still make the drive over there. I think HIN is the same day and I want to check out some friends cars and see hot women all over the place too. |

Re: My restoration of a 2g GSX
PUT THOSE ON! I want to see what black calipers look like!
|
Re: My restoration of a 2g GSX
Should be on either this weekend or next. I just want to make sure the fronts clear my wheels, which they should...But you know how that crap goes.

Re: My restoration of a 2g GSX
Damn that looks really good! I love the color combo you got. You should post a few pictures showing the whole side of the car, both the front and rear wheels together.

Re: My restoration of a 2g GSX
Well, the car is still stuck in the garage otherwise I would. Otherwise the best photos of it are on the first page. And my garage is pretty small so I can't stand back any further than the wheel pic to get some pictures.

Re: My restoration of a 2g GSX
Those rotors look beat up. Can you turn them (if its even needed) and I'm sure new rotors are $$$.

Re: My restoration of a 2g GSX
It's just surface rust.

Those brakes look really good! Should be an amazing car when you're done.

Re: My restoration of a 2g GSX
Thanks!
Although I will probably send them out to be powder coated eventually. The paint isn't curing like it should, a month later and a cycle in the oven and it is still really soft. Actually behind the spoke on my wheel is a pretty nice gash. Intercooler came from ETS, they however forgot to anodize it. Should be back next week or the week after and then it is down to picking a turbo and putting the new engine in. I am thinking a Borg Warner S258/S259 or 35HTA...Leaning towards the BW now. Oh and my Nardi steering wheel came in as well. |
