Re: New Corvette, mkay?
I betcha it makes 415-420 whp stock.
I like it, a lot. I'm thinking this will drop the C6 prices down quite a bit as well, that's the one I want. If there's any way I could swing a C6Z, that would really be the end game. |

Re: New Corvette, mkay?
I could trade my X (paid off in June) in on this in July when it comes out, finance it for 3 years, and my payment would be lower than I currently have on my X right now. I think I would rather drive around with a paid-off X though...

^why you set on awd? (just curious, not being weird or anything)
Unless you are making some crazy street racing car or winter driving, I'm not sure you need it. |
Re: New Corvette, mkay?
Winter driving, going to drive my fun car year around :D I am sick of putting cars away for 4-5 months a year.

Re: New Corvette, mkay?
For those of you who have GT5, the C7 final prototype is free, and in the PS store...
although you can't change its color, wheels, or modify it... Its pretty cool, the interior is cool to see and the lcd screen in gauge cluster is in there as well. |
Re: New Corvette, mkay?
Definitely will download that one.

Re: New Corvette, mkay?
Still too early to even know what car I end up getting, nonetheless what power I make. I will have a GTR or something similar (C7 or 997tt?) in the next ~5 years, could be as early as a year away. If it is a GTR then 650awhp seems to be the sweet spot. You can do that on a mostly stock car and stay reliable. Depends on what job the wife gets next and how the house situation goes. We are refi'ing the current one when I get done with it and going to build a new one on the west side.
I will likely end up with an interim car though, thinking Audi TT or Evo MR right now. If that is the case I will get one as soon as we refi, which will be this summer/fall. I really don't want to spend $55k on a car, it just seems wrong, but I am done heavily modding 4 cyls. |
Re: New Corvette, mkay?
X MR? My good friend down here is actually going to be selling his 2010 Evo X MR Touring within a month or two. It's nicely modded already, making 400+ WHP on 93-octane, and a SSP/Cobb built SST transmission to match. Let me know if you're interested, pricing will be in the low to mid $30's. Nothing wrong with the car at all, he's just moving to a 2013 Evo X MR Touring.
