Hell yeah! I just ordered all my parts to make my exhaust manifold. 16 90degree schd 10 stainless steel, and 2 feet schd10 straight stainless steel. Flanges should be on order tomorrow hopefully. and welding by the weekend if possible. :)

I've been talking with Shep on a transmission selection right now. I'm hoping to have a good year with the car. How's your ride comin along?

Transmissions are way too damn expensive, what one are you looking at getting? My car is pretty much the same as it was end of the year last year, minus a little weight.

What are you hoping to run with that beast?

He keeps telling me I should get a dog box. Those are a little to spendy for me. I'm hoping for a 9 second pass this year. I think it should be possible. I'll be upgrading the rear axles. I'm also looking for a nice set of sticky tires.

That a lot of money for a dog box. Ever think about going auto if you're going to spend that much?

How much power do you think you're going to make?

Good luck on the 9second pass! Hope you can get it this year.

Yeah, I have thought a lot about going auto, and eventually I might end up doing it. I'm going to get it to 800awhp and see what that will land me et wise. I'm thinking that should be a good power level to acheive my goal. Along with Some broken parts I'm sure lol.

YESIR! :) I don't see anything holding me back from that number. Of course that will be on E98 ;) 650hp on e85 is were I'll stop on that stuff.

Fuck you need to come and play down here then.
That is awesome power I would like a ride when its done. Now everyone seems to think when I want to ride I just want to go fast and of course I want to, but I want to see how these things drive.
I went for a ride in Hill's car last year and he just wanted to do pulls and I just wanted to see how quiet and comfy it was, lol.

Hey maybe I will get to see your car during the day this year?

I just want to see how it is to daily these things driving around like normal and maybe stepping into it on a street roll that isn't a set 40 or 70 roll.

may 4th is my graduation date. You will have to stop by I'm sure I will end up having peopl over as usual.

Why the 650whp limit on E85?

Some DSMers just posted up 10.7 and 10.8 on 3 diff stock block cars running 6262 turbos @30psi

I will stop by for sure! Idk just worried I'll be over doing it for e85 above 650hp possibly. I mean I know my knock sensor will be a good safty feature but, I don't want to over do it. I guess we will see what I can get out of e85 hp wise before I add the e98 to it.

Kevin, we can talk in private if you perfer ;) Does this require a voltage regulator, like the aeromotive pumps?

No, it has a high/low speed opperation built into the pump. So, there are 3 wires to hook up. Power, ground, and a resistor type deal.

Swifty1638 03-20-2010 01:48 PM

Re: Progress since last year

aah, cool cool. Seems like it's cheaper alternative then the aeromotives, but not as cheap as 2 wally's ;)

This pump will outperform two wallies ;) and it will be more efficient to (no T fittings or Y fittings to deal with).

Nice, looks like you are gearing up for the season.

Kevin = performance, swifty = price. lol

Swift you already have pumps so you don't need to worry.

Kevin won't you have to make some kind of sump now?

Swifty1638 03-20-2010 04:31 PM

Re: Progress since last year

lol, I chose performance AND price.

I will be welding a bulk head fitting into the stock fuel tank. :)

Here is a little update.
The collector is all done and for the most part mocked up to where I might put it. I've gotta do some more measuring to make sure that is where I want it. Here are the pictures of the work! Boodram at MAP made the collector for me. I helped hold a few things on the collector. I'll be doing the rest of the manifold. Picture quality is a little low all of the pictures are from my iphone :(

This is on the Mock up engine at the shop
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...llector002.jpg
This took forever to do but I polished all the pipes before welding so, the manifold looks really nice when done!

excellent weld too mang...i'm not that good with a welder, but i know enough to appreciate a clean weld...can't wait for more pics

My brother can weld fucking badass. Bitch did my old O2 housing left handed!! (he is a righty).

Back OT, so manifold and pump install and you are ready to go? maybe DP and dump tube too i guess.

Yeah, he is a awesome welder!! I'm using my old dp. Just dump tube's, and also fuel lines, filters, and fittings. Then it's ready for big power.

I changed my mind on the bottom mount and am now building a top mount. Got the turbo placed. Pipe fitting has begun.

In car fitment test before I started making the manifold.
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...mounted001.jpg

I moved the turbo a little more to the left and a little higher since the last pic was taken. I'm hoping to have the manifold done this week coming up.
