Totally forgot to book a room for the 5th. I am pretty low on $ at the moment but if it's pretty cheap I will I will go ahead and book one. Also, I would be totally fine with sleeping on the floor if someone wouldn't mind letting me crash in their room. I already registered and really want to go this year.

The hotel is full, but people have never had a problem finding floor space in the past.

Paul, any word on an alternate hotel since the main one is booked up?

I tried calling a couple days ago and all booked up also. I might be out for this one unfortunately, wanted to get the car all up on maintenance, but don't think I'll have it done by then. Will try to make the "Rush" event this Friday instead though.

Sorry, I've not been around much as I started a new job! I'll do some calling around and try to setup alternate accommodations. I am kind of surprised the place filled up as I intentionally chose something away from the Mayo sector.

I know there are quite a few people that are not able to get rooms there at this juncture and sharing rooms gets harder and harder as more people bring their spousal units.

Right now can I get a master list of people who need rooms?

I am guessing at least a small number of people pre-paid for their room for a better price (as I have done in the past). Wouldn't want them to miss out because of our mistake in booking late. If NOBODY has pre-paid then I am all for a hotel change. Shall we take a poll on who has fully pre-paid for a room?

This is exactly why we always recommend booking early, yet every cruise we run into the exact same problem over and over again. It is too late to move hotels. I stress the fact every time, booking a hotel room doesn't cost you a dime until check-in unless you opt for a pre-paid room. When will people learn?

Book a room at a nearby hotel and cancel it if you find some floor space in the main hotel (which generally never seems to be a problem since half the people don't even make it back to their own rooms once the drinking starts).

Shit...knoxville will hate me lol, but I forgot to book our room I think.

I usually have the hotel booked right when I sign up for the cruise, sadly this year work has been awful so I was so busy i forgot...shit happens.

I don't see why it's such a huge deal to switch hotels...I have never prepaid in my life but maybe people actually do that...you old timers you. I think it was silly to pick a hotel with less than half capacity for a group our size, but that being said its our dumb ass faults for procrastinating.

I vote at least we all pick a back up hotel so we can get a mini group at that one.

The hotel had plenty of capacity to hold the entire group when the plans were set and announced. Many times I will pre-pay for a non-refundable room since you'll generally get a cheaper rate.

Paul worked hard to find the best hotel possible for our group, we're not going to punish those who took the initiative and were not lazy by forcing them to cancel their reservations and rebook elsewhere.

As I said, I already said its our lazy ass faults. But seriously, how much do you save, like 10 bucks?

I just know that part of the fun is having the entire group of people at one hotel. It already looks like a good chunk will now be else where. It's not about punishing people, its about trying to have a good time. We were simply suggesting if its not a big deal we switch.

It doesn't matter to me personally, I am fine with whatever, I know I will have a good time.

However, that being said, many people don't book stuff months in advance, as we all procrastinate. And did you really expect everyone to book that far in advance? Hell we have like half the people sign up the day before haha.

It's not easy planning the cruise at all, I get that and I am not giving anyone a hard time. It is just shitty luck that the hotel is under construction.

I will book at the other one mentioned. Make that hotel #2? Who else is in?

I actually didn't book a room, Paul reserved it for us this time. End of the day, I could careless where I sleep as long as I have a bed, couch, or seat cushion to rest my sack on. I just know the room Paul booked for us is a poolside suite, and we all know those are the most fun :D You're welcome to come spoon if you'd like, but I'll warn you, I do snore (so others claim anyway).

I don't mind if we switch Hotels. For the record, this place was not under construction when I chose it and asked people to register rooms 4 months ago.

That being said, it's about maximum group enjoyment so that's what I want to stress here.

My deposit for the poolside suite is non-refundable, but since I am in the business of not really giving a shit, we can certainly pack up and move locations to a place that does not have a poolside terrace that everyone remarked so fondly about.
