I'm worried about dig/track racing now, esp. since the nitrous kit I was supposed to get sold. I really want a good trap speed but I'm seeing small bolt on turbos like 3076/3065 trap 137 with more room to go.

Luckily this is a fraction of the cost.

I'm talking digs. The 6266 setup needs to be limited for boost off the line. I'm sure the 6152 will be the same if you get a good converter.

I'd rather have a converter that only dropped 1500ish rpms to keep the motor in the powerband than having a tight ass one up top.

I'll say though, rolls surprisingly aren't bad without spray. But the converter is key.

oh ok. Yeah I'm looking into my converter options. I'm sure this year will be a wash for dig racing.

I'm sure you'll find a used 1g precision for dirt. You always seam to find the deals. Or just throw the credit card down on a bradco and Kiggly MIVEC conversion.

I cant wait to see this thing in action. My 61 was a blast with the auto. I think I went 102 in the 1/8th.

7/17/13:

Got my fittings in today (of course I didn't get a pic), put those in cleaned up the holes to be welded and my welder was out of gas. :(

Spent a lot of time trying to get my tie rod ends warrantied without a receipt that sucked. KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS PEOPLE!!!
That is where this thread came to the rescue, I was able to find the date of purchase and go from there.

Finally got all the pieces I need and a friend (Mo/Speedfreak) to weld up the holes in the steering tube, so I was able to start putting this back together.

The car will need a bunch of random crap to get running, and I'll be gone the first two weeks of August so I don't know if I will make PG 2. I'm really hoping to make an end of year track day with the other racers we have on style.

I doubt it, i'm shooting for another DSM track day in october like last year, all we need this year is a grill and it will be perfect.

There are way too many things to do before it will be race ready, plus I'd have to buy and setup nitrous since there is no way this turbo will stall by itself.

ignition cut while stalling? i bet that would spool it up well. maybe thats not how it works, i know nothing about autos i guess.

8-27-13:
Picked up a new (to me) shortblock, its stock rebuild with about 10k miles on it. 2G pistons, shot peened rods.

Last night Carltalon came over (thanks) and helped put more of the shortblock together. I'm waiting to pickup a head to use and then I should be ready to put the motor together and get it back in the car. Hopefully I can convince him to come by again soon.

I'll thank Halon in advance for the engine hoist too.
