Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
I use a stub shaft and use an oil that has a high zinc formula.

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
This weekend was fruitful. The k member is coming along awesome. I need to figure out the steering rack mounting points and the driveshaft loop.
It's made from 1.5" .083 4130 chromoly. My tube fab skills are getting better. All this practice will pay off on my next car, I want to build a competitive rwd chassis car. http://i412.photobucket.com/albums/p...126_130401.jpg http://i412.photobucket.com/albums/p...126_130424.jpg |
Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Looks great mark !! Amazing work.

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Those notches look so nice and tight. Rwd chasis car seems like it would be right up your alley. What platform would u use?

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Nice, you can practice making another if you would like. :KANE:

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Thanks for the feedback. The chassis I'm thinking about is a new camaro. I want to buy an insurance total loss, theft recovery car. The more that's gone the better, for the exception of body/trim parts.

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Damn I bet that's a major weight loss. What's the weight difference between the two?
|
Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
That would be sick!

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Your level of bossery is so out of this world.

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
New Camaro is pretty heavy chassis to start with, why not something lighter? That K-member is sweet. That was my next project if I kept my talon.

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
It's been a while since I've been on here. Wow the car looks amazing! As always!

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Superb.

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
That is absolutely gorgeous.
|
Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
That looks amazing. How did you get the tube ends curved and angled to mate so perfectly? Fly cutter?

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Those GM produced COPO Camaros start off as a "Body in White" - You maybe able to order one of those???
Awesome tubular crossmember! |
Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
