Re: The Gun Thread
Do you like the magnifier?
I am tempted to get an EOTECH with magnifier but people say its cuts your vision down pretty good. But I want something with the ability to hit further targets. |
Re: The Gun Thread
I like mine as it's on a swing out quick mount for easy off or movement to the side.

Re: The Gun Thread
just bought a ruger 10/22 for 219$ at cabelas today, got home and ordered a match grade trigger kit, match grade bull barrel and a stock to fit it! should be fun project. i think im going to build a ar15 next!

Re: The Gun Thread
I want a .22 rifle but I can't find .22 LR anywhere so whats the point :(
|
Re: The Gun Thread
I can't believe .22lr is still in short supply up there. I have a few thousand rounds at my house and I seem to be able to find more any time I want. I sent 500 of them as a gift to my brother in law and he was super excited so he could go shoot again, boggles my mind.
Maybe I should start a side business buying ammo here and selling to peeps up there who can't find it haha. Last time I think I bought a case of 5000 CCI blazer for $170ish. |

I can get 500rds of 22lr for $20 at Fleet Farm (kinda like menards/home depot but with guns) here in Winona. Comes in about once a week or every other week. Limit 1 box per customer though.
I just picked up a S&W M&P Shield 40. Came with 100rds of critical defense ammo, 3 holsters, extended mag and has never been fired except from the factory. Paid $275. Definitely happy with that deal and the way it shoots. I was waiting for the XD-s 40 but obviously they came out with the 4.0 9mm and will probably take forever to produce a 40 cal XD-s, if they ever do. Decided this would be a nice addition to the collection. |
Re: The Gun Thread
before my grandpa passed away he started buying ammo like it was going out of style, hes probably got 20k+rounds of .22 and 10K rounds of other miscellaneous calibers so when i need some i just go visit my grandma. hes go an impressive collection, i remember hear he lost count at like 58 hand guns... i know when holiday use to sell guns way back in the day and they decided they weren't going to carry them anymore he bought the inventory of marlin 30-30's from the holiday down the street! i bet he has over 150 guns in his house still.. even though hes no longer with us.

Re: The Gun Thread
I think I speak for everyone here... Take some pics of the collection next time you are there. It would be awesome to see!

Re: The Gun Thread
Finally got around to de-neutering my M77 and making it compliant.
Modded an M14 mag to fit, replaced the FCG and threw on an AMD Brake until the Tabuk style gets here. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k3...psde8aa5a1.jpg http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k3...ps116c5c20.jpg Now I just need to find some M70 wood |
Re: The Gun Thread
That is a very cool looking weapon!

Re: The Gun Thread
I love the thumb hole stock, not sure why some don't like it. Makes for good accuracy. Love the long barrel.

Re: The Gun Thread
Should knock down a deer or two in my lifetime.
On another note, during my quest to expand my .357 magnum collection, I stumbled across a great deal from one of my tool guys http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k3...psd238462f.jpg Ruger GP100 4" barrel Still looking for that elusive 94AE in .357 though |
Re: The Gun Thread
Anybody have an used .45 acp shells laying around? I'd buy ya a beer or something!
Apparently people use those as ais block offs on my new project bike |
Re: The Gun Thread
Anyone know of anyone that would want my SCAR 16s? I'd throw in ammo, pmags, case, sling etc.
paid a ton for it, would be willing to do 2300 for it probably, maybe 500 rounds or so through it. I am trying to think outside the box on how I could maybe get the evo going. I think I like cars more than I like guns. The SCAR is awesome but i use it as much as I use my evo, meaning none. Two expensive hobbies (guns and cars) are not needed in my life and I will just use my 9mm pistol at the range to satisfy that urge when I get it. I am not trying real hard to sell this but if it sold then I would put the evo back in action. Feel free to PM. |
Re: The Gun Thread
Put it on armslist.
Every gun I've listed on there has sold within a month. Even the 'spensive ones. |

Just looked around at pricing, looks like SCAR's and for that matter all AR's have really dropped in price, must be some serious stock around the US. I think to sell mine I will have to drop to 2100 or even a bit less. Bummer... Thanks for the advice though. |
