Re: 2008 Christmas bragging thread

I got a new drill with a bit set for it. Two shop vacs, a smaller all in one tool set. TV trays that I wanted. In-laws came threw in the clutch though, The better half and I are signing on our house on monday and her parents went out and filled up 5 or 6 of those rubbermaid bins and filled it with all those "everyday" items. Kitchen items, batterys, light bulbs, tons of daily household items that would be a pain in the ass to have to pick up. Made out pretty good. The "wife" and I chose not to get anything for each other this year due to buying a house is taking basically all the saved up money we have. If you wanted to look at it in a different light, We bought all new couch, love seat, end tables, lamps, coffee table, dining room table, coughnew52inchtvcough, a lot of kitchen things. The list goes on, So the way I see it we did xmas long ago.

We draw names in both my and Alyssa's family so from my dad I got:
Craftsman T-handle metric hex wrench set
Sweater for work so I don't have to wear my jacket around
Stanley Max Steel tape measure
Managing Humans book (randsinrepose.com)
Starbucks gift card
Licorice

My Aunts dog got me the 10th set of silverware from our now out of print impossible to find style.

Kracka got me the Beatrush license plate mount and some of those real nice new Evolv screwdrivers from sears.

Alyssa picked up some stuff off my Amazon wish list:
Crucial Confrontations book
The Bro Code book
Brocabulary: The New Man-i-festo of Dude Talk book
Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex book
Benders Big Score
And $100 to spend on whatever I want. I think I'll either pick up EvoScan + cable or else a Longacre tire pressure gauge. I need to stop using those damn slide ones.

And we don't have Christmas with Alyssa's family until 3 January so I'll be in for some more then!

Got some cash that we'll put away for baby stuff and some some little basic items for the house. Didn't ask for anything, thought we might of got some little baby stuff, but I'm sure that will come this spring.

Oh yeah, Jana and I got ourselves a new receiver early in December, and then she got me a N64 system with Goldeneye, Mario Kart, and then Donkey Kong for herself. WooT!
