Re: March for health care!
Bipartisanship is retarded. 65% of US households opposed this bill and it passed anyway. This country is going to hell in a handbasket.

I better hurry in and get my back surgery done before the line forms for welfare recipients needing a bandage in the ER. I can't believe there's even 35% of the population dumb enough to believe this is a good thing. Why bother with solving the actual economic problems we're in with government reductions and tax cuts when you can triple the national debt AND wipe out a million jobs in the health insurance industry in one shot. Great job Obama, you really fucked us hard this time.

Why are we not solving the root of the problem, healthcare being so expensive? That alone would afford many, many people the chance to get healthcare/health insurance coverage. Instead, we're doing things that will make healthcare costs go up. Great. That is, until the gov't takes it over altogether and completely F's it up. |

Re: March for health care!
What really pisses me off are people who expect to have healthcare pay for there abortions. Wtf! Why should I have to pay for some piece of shit person who wants to murder an innocent baby.
Why should I have to support something I believe to be cruel and horribly wrong! |

We copied "cash for clunkers" from Germany(and other European countries) and we are attempting to copy the healthcare model they use for their healthcare. Both examples are of things that -WORK- We are not all entitled to free healthcare, but we all pay taxes, even if we don't want to, therefore the government is expected to help all tax payers out by protecting us from monopolies of mega-corporations. I really think its wrong of you to comment on abortion without acknowledging the fact that we set our children up for failure by not talking about sex, thus resulting in massive unwanted teen pregnancy. Abortion is bad, we should spend all our time and effort on preventing it ever coming to this. Think about how many failures it takes to push a teen to get an abortion. Parents fail to put the girl on birth control, parents and our education system fail to explain sex=babies, we fail to openly make sure everyone has a condom, we disown our daughters if they get knocked up....We, push teen mothers to abortion and then hate them when they feel they have no other choice. I for one fully support this bill, the republicans passed their crazy homeland security/patriot act bills, which are far worse then anything the democrats will pass. 1 Trillion in additional health spending is a fraction of what we spend on our pointless war in iraq, also it saves lives. If this bill is really as bad as all the nay-sayers say it is, I am sure it will be revised/repealed in a timely manner. /rant |
Re: March for health care!
Im sorry Mary, I should have told you having sex would cause you to be pregnant with an unwanted child, says the father to his daughter. Dont worry says the father to his daughter, lets make the american public pay for your mistake, and have that baby sucked right out of you since mistakes should have no consequences! But wait! It really isnt your fault since your were not educated.
What failure is there by the rise of teen pregnancy? Whats truley a failure is when a family cannot work together to raise the child, parents and the mother of the child alike. So lets teach our children the wasy way out of life and kill it, and make the american population pay for it. I woudlnt speak about saving lives if your supporting abortion. Quote:

One FACT that no pro-life person wants to talk about is in countries/situations where abortion is banished/illegal: Abortions still happen. A soon-to-be mother who cannot have a baby -WILL- abort the fetus, this is not my opinion, this is fact, I would rather she survive the operation, if she uses a coat hanger she is likely to die too. I do not celebrate abortion, I do not want it, but so long as it is available, then people who are motivated to save un-born babies will have to actually work hard at preventing teen pregnancies, and also offering other services for unwanted babies. -------- Look, I know you probably don't want to hear any conversation from someone who thinks abortion should be legal, and I understand your point of view. You don't need to spend time convincing me that it is wrong, why don't you ponder why abortion is still legal, it is because after countless hours of debate by professionals/senators/doctors/psychiatrists/mothers/daughters....after all the debate they decided that is a good idea to keep abortion. You don't need to argue this point with me, because right now there are more people like me, and less people like you, and therefore the majority is going to make the rules. Rather argue with me about something you wish didn't exist why don't you volunteer to work in a teen clinic? when a girl gets pregnant that is usually where they go to inquire about the future of her child, if you spend time informing her of what other options she has (adoption) then you can feel good that you saved a life. I have spent a bunch of time articulating my thoughts on the matter and I have highlighted some very important points that will probably go unnoticed, therefore I feel I have done my part. |
Re: March for health care!
^I would prefer the mother die in the dumb ass attempt to abort it with the coat hanger, at least part of me.
I am sick of fighting darwin, sometimes dumb people need to go. Some people just shouldn't breed. We are trying to fight nature by saving some people and all the hard working people are paying for it. |

To answer your second part; the lobbyist, SEIU, campaign contributors and big pharma just got paid back for electing Obama. Simply put, to really fix the issue you would either have to reduce health care cost through regulation, TORT reform and competition or raise the standard of living in the USA so everybody could afford to have insurance. But, then you would be taking money from the "haves" and giving it to the "have not's", and we can't have that. The super rich don't give a fuck about your ability to live well. Look at what the bill does. It blocks out competition across state lines, it blocks out the importation of lower cost drugs from Canada and elsewhere. Some of the same drugs we export to Canada that could still be brought back here cheaper than buying them directly from here. And now they're forcefully adding 30 million more customers to the money pool for all of the insurance companies, adding to their bottom line. You know, those same evil insurance companies that Obama hates so much, right. |
Re: March for health care!
yeah, you pretty much nailed it. I guess I'm not totally sure what will happen to jobs. Once the gov't tampers with free market economics, my education in economics no longer helps me figure out what is going to happen.

Re: March for health care!
Looks like states are already moving to block this utter violation of personal freedom:
"Four state legislatures have already passed laws blocking the bill. On Wednesday, Virginia's GOP Gov. Bob McDonnell will sign the bill into the state's law, making it illegal for the federal government to require Americans to purchase health insurance." Even our own Governor, Tim Pawlenty, remarked that this is an, "unprecedented overreach by the federal government forcing individual citizens to buy a good or a service for no other reason then they happen to be alive or a person." http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/HealthCare...0176898&page=1 |

Re: March for health care!
Ever wonder why this bill is so fucked up??? It's designed to fail over time. That way they can say they tried to fix it, but now the only thing that will work is a single payer, government controlled health care. And single payer is exactly what Obama Inc is shooting for.
This will make the government the wholesaler/middleman for your health care coverage. And the government will set the price and coverage, for your own good of course. |
Re: March for health care!
The new Health Care Plan will be written by a committee whose Chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress which hasn't read it, signed by a President who smokes, funded by a Treasury Secretary whodid not pay his taxes, overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese, and financed............. by a country t...hat is nearly broke. What could possibly go wrong?"-

Re: March for health care!
Who said no Pro-Life people dont want to talk about countries/situations about where abortions happen illegally? Of course it still happns, at least the citizens know its wrong, and dont have to pay for illegal and disguting activity.
Lets make stealing legal, but just a little bit. Id rather have someone steal just a little bit and get away with it than steal alot. Quote:
