Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects
Hopefully mondale on here can come and run with you 5 spd dudes, almost every platform is going to autos for racing now, word is there should be a pretty quick suby in the mix this year too.
I hope you guys can find the recipe for reliability, 5 spd cars rock. |

More cars the better! It sucks when there are 2-3 cars in a class. |

Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects
Just by simple drag racing math with a 1.5 60' the car will be close to a 8, we will see. The evo looks good.

Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects
Thanks!
So are you going to go with some 5 lug hubs and a set of slicks this year? I could see it running high 8's and to recapture the galant record. |

Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects
My car will use the BFG comp t/a for the street and have a set of QTP's for track use, if rims are in the budget 5 lugs will be on the car. And I recommend the aeromotive Eliminator fuel pump, in my car its able to produce over 100psi of fuel pressure at battery voltage. And no voltage regulator needed if you are not going on road trips.

Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects
If you go that route the AEM can control a auto.
Good luck with brake in and tunning. It will be a fun ride. |

Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects
Finished picture
http://i412.photobucket.com/albums/p...218_102343.jpg First startup! I need to fix my fan situation with a relay and a different ECU output. The fan is on all the time if the key is on since I replaced the OEM fan with a Spal. The OEM fan is controlled with a PWM pin vs. an on/off drive. The exhaust is quieter than my other Evo too!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJoqhzSj81Y&context=C37273c0ADOEgsToPDskLgrSf_6vyi BHVCKfsy6qLp&hd=1 |
Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects
Awesome, please also get some video of the dyno tuning!

Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects
Looks good Mark! Bring it up to Ely one of the weekends you go up, I'll bring my 6266 powered beast up there too if its running and we can have a little fun "North of the Border" rather than in Mexico ;)

Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects
Top mounts always just seem more awesome.
And I've always wanted to drive down HWY1 to Grand Marais with my car... I've just not been upto Ely since I've owned it. |
Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects
Damn mark shit came together fast!!
Are you bringing both cars to the track when you go in case something breaks? |
