I was really close to keeping up with the GLI myself. A couple pulls felt like it really came down to spool.

Me and fatty were pretty close, I just need to get used to shifting that thing, I bounced 2nd off redline because it was over so quick. Weird because the rest of the gears seem pretty long.

Yes yes boys, being almost as fast as my wife's car....very impressive! ;) Spaz needs more mods. Peter, where were you shifting at? 5500-5800 seems ideal for me.


Heh ya I saw you spit flames a few times. Prolly gonna have to frumroll with the evo sometime for grins :D Speaking of grins I had a really good time doing all this testing & comparing last night, I could not stop laughing!

It was fun! haha Yea I know my car is not a race car, but it gets me everywhere, and doesnt leak coolant. :P haha

I was shifting close to redline, def felt power was down by the time I got up there. Torque really drops up top. I missed third the last time we ran em and shut it down.

Awesome. I guess it really does have a straight through exhaust with gutted cats. I want to ride behind the car sometime and see the flames and hear it. It's really quiet inside the car.

Should be interesting to see the difference in dyno charts once I throw it on the dyno. Im spiking to 24psi and dropping to 19 it seems.

Geez! Poor little K03! Start saving to replace it :D However, I hear the K04's actually make more power on these cars. APR makes a kit, I bet its real cheap :D

Haha! Yea im probably going to switch to the stock program for most daily driving, and switch back when I want.

The stage 3 turbo kit is like 4k and puts down 350. That would be fun! Im not gettting carried away.

I took the LONG way home. It was too nice and cool out, so I decided to take 94 east towards woodbury, then headed south, then 35e ramp was closed, so I went north, then off on 13, and took the windy part of 13 all the way past cedar till I hit 35w, then back south to 42, then home..lol. GREAT night to just listen to some tunes and drive with the wind in my face.

Yea thank goodness you had that nice private closed road to go test & compare on! It was awesome stomping on it in 3rd at 4000rpm and letting you rip through 2nd then 3rd, then grabbing 4th at the same time :D Your car is pretty dang quick, I guess I should load back up the kill tune, 420 wasn't quite enough! I was logging the whole time and only saw knock on one NLTS and accidentally revved to 8200 in 3rd on one run...my car pulls hard up there but I gotta focus on shifting by 7400 to stay in the uber-peak power range of the little bbk :D

Also, your car is loud a fuk, it sounds mean as hell! We should have done one on my low boost map to see how bad it'd be for me, I rip on the car nonstop daily on that map....not afraid to step on it like you said you are yours....one advantage to mapswitching I guess :)
