Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
2 pages, you have n00b settings on.
Here ya go. I'm down 10 ponies and torques. I blame it on not being warmed up. http://www.dsmstyle.com/photopost/data/529/DSC02735.JPG http://www.dsmstyle.com/photopost/data/529/DSC02736.JPG http://www.dsmstyle.com/photopost/data/529/DSC02737.JPG |

Here is my mad power in chart form. Stock except for full exhaust. Boost tapers to ~5psi at the end of the run. Definitely needs a chip and intake to boost numbers closer to 200hp, +200 Tq. Then it should be a moar fun. Its also super rich stock, which is gay. The torque curve is really nice and flat though.

Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
^Just glancing at that power curve, I could swear it was supercharged, by how linear it is lol.

Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
Moar boost!!!!!!!!!!
|
Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
Peter, I love how there is no lines of boost going up, just being up and then coming down as the run progresses. K03 FTW! insta-spool yo!

Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
Here are my charts, car is completely stock besides an upgraded wastegate actuator that can actually hold boost compared to the stocker.

Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
Awesome power for little mods. I cant believe its running stock boost at all though.
|
Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
Really not bad power for such little boost! Those come with a 16g right? Too bad it's FWD, with all that torque its gotta be wheelspin city! I know anna's car with only like 200whp/240wtq its pretty slippy sometimes!
What's next modwise? |

Next modwise, I might throw on an intake and I want to go with a 3" Turboback Side-Exit exhaust and bigger intercooler/piping/upgraded BOV and then be done for power-mods for a while. Then work on things like motor mount inserts, short throw shifter, etc. Down the road, throw on bigger injectors, get the Predator tuning computer thing, and then eventually get a little bigger turbo. This thing on there now is way too tiny, I can hit full 15psi of boost at 2400 rpm lol. It likes to run out of steam at higher RPM too. |
Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
Why the side exit?

If you have an srt-4, you do the side exit lol at least everyone I come across has it.
|
Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
wouldn't you have a problem hitting it on steep driveways and things? It is super cheap though... $325 for turbo back.. better than what places charge for the evo!

Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
I've heard bad things about the side exit if you have people sit in the back often, like spraying peoples' legs with gas if you start the car while they get in. Something to keep in mind. Or just run open DP.
And get a decent intake, they make the car sound like a jet as opposed to a semi, definitely much more baller. |
Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
Next year, lets not shoot for the fishing opener weekend, otherwise i would have been there. I hope to make it for the fall if the car is up and running.

Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
325 bucks for a side exit? What has the world come to? I'll make you one for 50 bucks.
|
Re: Spring Dyno Day 2009 Results
Reason I want it is all of the SEE's I have seen sound great and it's very affordable for a full turboback, not to mention pretty lightweight. It's $465 shipped for one with a resonator and no cat. And yeah it's an SRT-4 fad they have.
It doesn't look like it sits too low, plus my car isn't lowered at all: http://d194018.u64.securedc.com/images/dunnies1.jpg |
