Re: New dsm to minnesota?

And I want straight line, I like 0-60.

Re: New dsm to minnesota?

Then you want a 16G, slicks and AT.

Re: New dsm to minnesota?

Well the slicks I don't need I'm not gonna race my car at a drag strip. It will hook up enough especially when I get that awd but I don't think I can afford a turbo so what else you got in mind?

so you want a fast dd? i'd say, go with these mods: e316g, 272s, 800s, 255 fuel pump, e85, fmic, rebuilt trans, dsmlink, and yeah...my list just keeps going, and going and going and going...

Re: New dsm to minnesota?

You need to do a lot of research before I recommend buying any turbo car, with what you just said. If you go into it blindly, you're bound to screw yourself over. Seriously, these aren't hondas, granted they're not the most complicated cars, but you need to have a decent base of info before you start modding or even buy a modded car. Unless you're some super rich kid, that has a bunch of money from your parents to blow, then take your time, cause this stuff isn't too cheap.

Ha my dad is a janitor and my mom a newspaper reporter so not the most money. But like I know what things do I just don't know what the things mentioned are. I know about these cars. And I was thinking and I want to get one as stock as possible and I found a silver 98, it's pretty sweet and I'll just work my way from there one part at a time, first...EXHAUST SYSTEM!!

I'm talking about these things (e316g, 272s, 800s, 255 fuel pump, e85, fmic)

Re: New dsm to minnesota?

Yea, stock would be you're best option. Learn as much about the car as possible, get your basic maintenence done, then start researching what you want to do mod wise.

Re: New dsm to minnesota?

i'd highly suggest working with what you have first. you already have a dsm, although it's auto and fwd, learn and research with what you have engine wise.

Re: New dsm to minnesota?

I want one because it's my dd and it would get old after awhile having to shift all the time, but i've heard they are quicker than 5 speeds, any truth to that?

Re: New dsm to minnesota?

Re: New dsm to minnesota?

Ok so I want a full exhaust system but I don't want it to sound like a fart can, I want a deep throaty sound out of it. What would be a good one for that?

Ummmm any 1g turbo exhaust? It's a 4g63 man. It'll sound throaty as long as you keep a stock exhaust manifold in place.
