Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
Yea this is getting pretty rediculous. Fast is fast no matter how you cut it. Taking a boat of a car -3S- and having a goal to build something that no one else has ever built is unique in itself and its very awesome.
Im sure it has more capabilities in it and will probably only get faster or broken.. those are the only two options here. When you mod any car no matter what brand or what kind of engine, there will always be problems and some cars just need more refinement then others. Especially when you consider that a 50 trim 3S has never really been done before, and pretty much anyone can build up a camaro witha huge V8 and some NOS. There is a bit of a difference between those cars. Money will always be a factor as well, Id say its the biggest one. Props to everyone with fast cars, its hard work and should be appreciated and not bashed. I hate how everyone always has to "have the fastest car." Im frankly glad I got out of that phase, because I greatly enjoy being in the drivers seat and not underneath my car everyday. Sure I drive a 14 second German cone machine, and ill admit its not super fast, but I love it to death and it dominates the DSM in terms of quality and just pure driving enjoyment. |

Well a few things about your post. 1)I did not make this thread, we mearly ran a few cars that are quick on the highway. Another member of this forum started this "mess". 2)I would still run your "steak" on the highway no problem, as that is what my car is setup for, not 1320'. With the slicks it should go very well at the drag strip, after I iron out a few issues, but it was not built with straight line being the only focus. 3)I don't circle race my car, but it is nice having the capabilities of taking corners at 3x the posted speed limits comfortably. Excuses or reasons, people were asking me what was wrong. Maybe I should do like allan said and just STFU about all the stuff we do. I am sure this board is entertained by constant food/beverage/hangout threads. Sorry to bring a little bit of trial and error (or excuses as you would call them) to public knowledge. That is why the statement was made referring to my car as a mid 11 second car (as that is what its current best pass is) and not a 9 second car (the goal of the car) as I was NOT trying to make excuses. Honestly you need to get off your fucking horse. I didn't even notice that you had posted in this thread until you brought up your high 8 second camaro. That is a fast car steak-guy, very fast car. I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your nitrous. FYI, I made the thread in reference to all the benchracers chiming in on something they don't even have a fucking clue about. -Apple "sauce" ;). Reid-Yeah you can come with, we plan on being out there early saturday. People defending my car-Thanks but I really dont need it. Outlaw lives in Texas and from my experiences the cars will never line up, so it doesn't matter. His car is obviously faster in a straight line, and since what this thread is about, he is the clear winner. Yeah my car has a/c, yeah it has a stereo, yeah it corners well, yeah it can easily top 200mph, and yes it looks better than a camaro, but in the end that isn't what the thread is about. I thank you all for your support, hopefully I can post up some better times after this weekend. |
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style

Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
We have our project that has been sitting engineless/trannyless on the side of the house since 1998. Its made it into the garage every year or so but then back out again because there is no time to work on it.... We managed to pull the engine and tranny when we got it but they have been sitting in the garage waiting...
I hate body work... so that would be why we havent started that project. Project = 1970 MB 300SEL 6.3L Plus I had the dsm during the first 5 years of that cars existance at our house so there was definetly no time to work on it then :) haha |
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
Well when was the last time any buddy seen my Talon? I say I had it sitting for 3 years. As for Matt D's Talon I wana say about 2 years. Ok I guess M/// Guy gets it. But we all know who's car be running again after sitting so long.
Mine...Shootout baby ya!!! |

When he dropped it off, for a huge/crazy project. He told us he prepaid and ordered his race built engine from one of the renowned neon engine builders of that time. Well that turned into a 4-5 year drama, but we finally received a motor from Darrel Cox Racing(who was not the original builder) a few months ago. |
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
I'm the guy that always has 2-3 dsm all not working ! And I love this thread. Josh is right, it's been a LONG time since we had a real thread on the boards :P This is the only thread I've followed in months.
Glad to see your car is going again swanny. Outlaw = Bernie? Fast shit man, fast shit. I don't think I saw vassil post anything. His car was pretty damn fast if I recall! Shane ran a better time than 10.4 yet? |
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
No, shane still has his car sitting there. We all know Shane comes out with a setup that takes years to catch up to, he makes like 1-2 passes on it, and then tears it all apart again, for whatever reason. Then, 3-4 years later, people catch back up, and just as someone nears him, he leapfrogs ahead again! Shane, I say it's time to get that damn white 2g out again!
Josh, I wanna see a vid of that speedo at 200mph. It takes quite a bit of gearing, and a long ass straight to get a car to do that, but if you can do it, That's something I beg to see. -A. Swift |

I've got footage of winding the speedo (probably not on the speedo but the camera was in the car). |
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
Why would you do 5th gear pulls? 180-200 mph isn't worth the risk of blowing a tire and getting those results.

Anyone know how to put gulwing doors on my Jeep?
|
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
Top speed run, closed course results. I've seen how it pulls in 4th, no reason to do it again.
But if I was challenging the v6 land speed record for a class, yeah I'd pull 5th. |
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
on something like the salt flats, boo yah, I'd then say hit that bitch.

Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
They have a wing-door kit for it i'm sure. Nothing more then bolting shit up, and welding mounting brackets to it. Geez, I figured with as many pimp-my-ride episodes you've watched, and all those doors they do, you'd know how it works!

Yeah I am a prick for starting this thread, do you think I care? Anything I have said in here or will say I will say right to your face and any of you know that. There is a lot of people on here that are straight up pussies in person but cock off on the computer like no other. Like I have been saying all along, this internet shit is serious fucking buisness. |

Being the fastest street car, or the slowest street car really doesn't mean dick. I like my car, its damm fast (even for my crazy ass) and to me, that is what matters. I get to take out the occasional small bike (less than 1000cc), sneak up on the ocasional noob, and thrown down on the track. What else could I ask for? |
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
I didn't start this thread on your or Chris's behalf, I just metioned the races to get the thread going. Both your cars are way down on the chain as far as being mentioned as the fastest cars on this site. The reason the cars were mentioned is because you two were the only ones actually out racing around that were worth mentioning.
And yes the site needs more threads like this. If any of you don't like it then go fuck yourselves and just don't read. I here the Food Channel has a great forum. |
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
yum Rachel Ray.... Time to go back to the food channel forum.
|
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
Rachel Ray is hot! I could thinkg of 40 ways to wine her, dine her, and 69 her for less than $40 a day. But that's a whole new show for the Food Network!
|
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
Food Network has their own forum.... fuck this, I'm going over there. :D
|
Re: Fastest Street Car On Style
Well, there will be another mid 11 second car out this weekend :D My clutch will be back in Thurs or Friday.
