Re: Project Lex
Looks awesome, I don't get why everyone is so obsessed with making it darker.
I want my cars painted! |
Re: Project Lex
Very nice, looks great.
Feel comfortable sharing how much he charged? Just kind of curious for something like this. I could see myself wanting to do this to the evo in the next few years just to clean it up. Assuming the price isn't super high. |
Re: Project Lex
I mentioned the price earlier, but he told me prices have gone up now because he has been getting so many jobs lately he can't keep up. If you are truly interested I can give you his number, but I'm waiting to see the actual final result with my own eyes before recommending him. So far though he's been great to work with, great communication, couldn't ask for anything more at this point. I hope the results are just as good as well.

Understood though. I guess let us know how it turns out in person! |
Re: Project Lex
Yeah for sure, in person will be the true test. I have high hopes.

Just drove her home this evening. So happy with the results! Looks great, exceeded my expectations and what a cool guy to work with. Did this all out of his garage for a very reasonable price. Would recommend this guy to anyone looking for quality work at a slightly reduced cost. He does want me to bring it back in a couple weeks so he can do one final buff as there's a couple imperfections he wants to clean up (he's picky as hell because I barely even see these imperfections).
Here some pics. It was getting dark out so the camera lightened things up which kinda makes it a lil grainy. By far the hardest thing he said was this rear lip. It doesn't sit flush by the license plate which a lot of people are having issues with and nobody has found a perfect solution. I told him just throw some bolts in there with caps on them or something, just keep it symmetrical and it's good enough for me. So that's what he did and you'll see I took a zoom pic of that. Now just gotta get it back to DB to finish up the last section of exhaust!! :) You'll also notice I put a couple coats of NiteShades on the tails. Might put one more coat on them (just want them tinted looking, not blacked out), then buff em so they have a nice glossy shine to them. http://mitsustyle.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1402022244 http://mitsustyle.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1402022244 http://mitsustyle.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1402022244 http://mitsustyle.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1402022244 http://mitsustyle.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1402022244 http://mitsustyle.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1402022244 http://mitsustyle.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1402022244 http://mitsustyle.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1402022244 |
