What is with the hate of law enforcement? Are you really expecting state patrol officers to participate in drug raids or something? In this trooper's defense he was doing the right thing, more importantly doing his part to keep our highways safe. Unfortunately for us it was a case of "mistaken identity", if you will, which I got us all out of. He was ready to unleash the hounds on everyone else that drove away but guess what. He didn't. I was sensible and so was he. Leave it at that.

How was he supposed to get all of us? Dude in the Conquest was way ahead of you, you switched like 3 lanes and blew past a Semi, Mike blew past me, then here comes state patrol blowing past the semi all within like 20 seconds... I was thinking "uh oh. Hopefully he wasn't drinking..." I'm surprised the Conquest guy wasn't the one getting stopped.

I continued to 94 east (south) and in the northbound ("west") lane coming out of down town there were about 50 cops, a huge police truck/van type thing, maybe an ambulance, but I had a cop fly up behind me with lights on, then fly by going to that thing.

Sorry, I just get tired of seeing groups of cops sitting at interchanges playing "traffic hero" instead of out looking for real problems. You have to realize that when you get pulled over for speeding, it's not about safety, it's not about upholding the law, it's about the state making bank. That's the way it's been for decades, and that's the way it'll stay. I'd honestly rather pay more money to the state via taxes than having to deal with fighting tickets to keep my insurance down.

I'm sure it could be argued that we were being "reckless" or "dangerous" but realistically I'd rather have someone go flying past me who's got racing experience as opposed to someone with no license or insurance who's only been driving for a year, and those're the people who always seem capable of keeping their sorry asses on the roads while we get picked on.

Yeah, when I was sitting in the car they were talking about a huge accident on the radio further ahead on 94, he was in a hurry to let me go and get to that accident because they had to control traffic.

I don't really mind when cops nail you for speeding, when I get hit for going too fast, I just admit my fuck up and go on my way. Now, No front plate, dark tint, loud exhaust, etc. Those are the things that piss me off. Especially you guys in the cities that get nailed while your cars are parked outside and the owners are nowhere to be seen. That shouldn't even be legal.

Seriously guys, it is a bit cooler today, and there's always, you know, the entire rest of the summer to go to Porky's. You can also go every Friday and Saturday night if you so choose. Nothing against Porky's, but it's not the end of the world if we don't go tonight.

Yeah splitting it up sucks. But if some can't compramise then waddya do?

There is Friday and Saturday, the entire winter, and will be plenty of rainy days to enjoy sitting in a bar. Spring/Summer is short. I'll take a nice day when I can. 55-60 degrees isn't enough to have me running for my Columbia, heck my windows will still be down and sunroof will be open :D
