Sweet! That car should move pretty good with that turbo!

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
It did for about 5 seconds before the old engine popped. This time no monkey business.

Woot.
http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...m/DSC02571.JPG http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...m/DSC02573.JPG Now it's the easy part. I have valve stem seals and the connector/pigtail for the knock sensor on order, once those parts come in, it's pretty much ready. I bet the 92 octane that's in there is still good. It's only been 3 months since I drove it last. |

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
I posted this stuff on SQC and one guy, Phinko, made like 403hp with a 67mm t4 at 28 psi, lmao. I'm destined to be limited to 350. Next big mod will be a magna head with 50mm valves a heavy port job and a big ass roller cam. Booyah.

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
This post is more for myself than you guys, haha!
I have alot to do and little time to do it in. I finally replaced my valve stem seals, 3 of which I found to be bad. Before I only though it was two. I got the second port on my BOV retapped and got 6ft of bigger vac. hose for all that stuff. I ordered the same catch can that sheides wrote about, I also ordered an accufab BCFPR for a buick GNX, hopefully those parts arrive before go time. Go time would be a week from today (tuesday). I also got a hardware store coupler for my intake pipe. :D Picked up my pigtail for my knock sensor (holy expensive part batman - GM is really hurting if a pigtail is 45 bucks with the discount). What's left before driving is to put the radiator back in, get fluids in it, connect everything, put the O2 sensor back in, tighten everything back down and put my coilover back in the back. Stupid eibachs. Then I have to start 'er up and seat some rings, make sure nothing is leaking seriously and it should be ready. Oh yeah, I need a dumptube welded for my wastegate. That may or may not happen in a week. :) |

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
Rope in the motor is series business, avoid it at all costs. Looking good, you should put some hose clamps on the compressor housing to IC pipe connection though and a upper radiator hose.

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
Thanks John, lol! Those items are happening today. And I used compressed air against the advice of many people. It worked just fine. Someday I'll get a real coupler for the turbo inlet, haha.
