Re: New advice on buying a new car
Black evo looks nice lower miles too. Plus its got the 5 speed.

Re: New advice on buying a new car
Just found out the black evo has a slight oil leak from the oil pan, has a few broken clips and switches inside. Not a deal breaker, but it sounds kinda beat up. The kid has only owned it for a couple months. I'ma call the dealership he bought it from tomorrow.

Sweet! I'm looking at an is300 either today or tomorrow. I found a pretty clean one with a 5speed locally. Hopefully someone doesn't snap it up before I get the chance.

So how is it? Not a fan of subies really but still looks nice.

Re: New advice on buying a new car
The wagon has a fair amount of body roll stock, but a set of stiffer sway bars will fix that up I'm sure.
The turbo is super quiet, so I'll have to look into getting rid of the stock intake at some point. Otherwise, the car drives great. The clutch is pretty stiff and grabs great. Really tight shifter and the car really starts to move at about 3000 rpms. Only downer to the car that I didn't realize initially is that there are pretty big scuff marks on each side of the rear bumper. These didn't stand out to me when I was looking at the car because the guy lives on a dirt road and the car was fairly dirty. The guy I bought it from was older and really nice, which kinda caused me to trust him more than I probably should have. He kept going on and on about how perfect the car was that I was sorta upset when I saw a few flaws in the body. Oh well, they're fixable if I decide to do so. |
Re: New advice on buying a new car
Always gotta look at a car thats been washed.. but nice pickup!

Re: New advice on buying a new car
fyi dont put a intake on it, not worth the money..if I did it all over again I would not have bothered. search on mnsubaru and you will see why. nice pick up! enjoy it!

Real world ftw!
Looks like a nice pickup, enjoy! |
Re: New advice on buying a new car
Yea intakes are kinda worthless on the tiny stock turbo. Just made mine laggier. Ditch the snorkus (giant silencer in the fender) and do a downpipe and tune. That will get you all the turbo noise you need and keep the exhaust quiet as long as you keep the stock catback.
