Re: Fall Cruise - October 16-17th, 2010!

I'm still hoping to make it, but having back pain for the last few days has slowed my progress down. Luckily I've got a nice parts car sitting next to mine so I can rape needed parts off of it to get it done on time. The car is not getting parted out though, I'm almost tempted to fix that one instead and drive it, but a stock 1G would be pretty boring. :D

^I can attest to a stock DSM being ridiculously boring.

I'll agree to that as well!

Re: Fall Cruise - October 16-17th, 2010!

I'll agree to that. I'm working on the car every night til midnight to get it done. It looks like I might make it, but my new engine break-in miles will be on the trip, and it's not tuned, nor do I have a lappy anymore to tune with. The alignment will probably be adjusted at each rest stop. :D

You Sallys, I'm at class all week and am working remotely at the same time. EZ MODE.

Good god man, why on the cruise? We want to go and have fun and not worry about breakdowns...it's really not meant for shakedowns, its meant for going fast, cruising, enjoying the scenery, etc. I have a ton of faith in your work but there's so many things that can go wrong....I'd almost rather you just drove your lotus :P

Don't you have a DD you could rip?

Why even risk it? Like scheides said... Just drive your DD instead.

Re: Fall Cruise - October 16-17th, 2010!

If I'm unsure about the car, I'm not going. I was only planning on heading up with the caravan for the day anyways, we're up in Duluth this weekend for family stuff. I'm a little too old for sitting in a hot tub with a bunch of guys drinking Mad Dog 20/20. :D

Huh? Didn't you guys just poo-poo me for getting it done at the last minute? I could probably still get it done, but it is taking a big chance that something might go wrong and working crazy hours on it is taking it's toll. Plus Nick, Brownman and I have decided to represent the 1G/16G mafia at RF next weekend instead. That gives me a chance to pick up a lappy and get this thing tuned beforehand. I haven't driven the car to RF in 7-8 years.

Have a good time on the cruise, wish I could go. Keep an eye out for the po-po. :cuffs2:

Why cant you still go in a regular car? Same with brownman, just drive the truck?

We will have more women on this trip for sure. :)

Murlo26 10-15-2010 09:07 AM

Re: Fall Cruise - October 16-17th, 2010!

^The key is single women, well at least for me, no fun looking at what you can't touch ;)
