Wow, thanks! Buschur TBE w/ bullet testpipe and the magnaflow axleback.

Nothing was as quiet as that supra though, man that thing was silent....and I don't think anything was as loud as that vette aside from the FDSM!

Again, E-85. I was talking to him about it, and am still talking to him about it. He is going to try E-98 next spring with more boost.

Sorry man, I didn't even know you were going on the rollers and as I was taking that picture in pulled your cherry-bomb monster! You were car #30 IIRC.

Is he your new Jake Montgomery? ;)

Since when does talking to a guy mean I'm nutswinging at all? Isn't learning about setups and shit what it's about? I never cared about Jake's setup either. It was nice, and a good guy to talk to. The difference between him and other assholes is he took the time to TALK and TEACH. NOT just slam and bash.

Re: 2009 Fall Dyno Day - Oct 3rd @ MAP

Mark is a very nice guy. He explained the whole setup to me at the september cars and coffee. He said he'd like to get around 900whp eventually, hence the plan to switch to e98.

Thats fucking insane.
Good job to everyone, its a high average and everycar in the pic looked clean.
Make the next dyno day late may i get done early may. I'll need a week to make more power so i can blow it on the dyno if it lasts that long.

lol. just a turbo. nothing else is billet.

Floppy, give swifty a break, at least he showed up!

I don't see mark talking at all, just PM's. I figured answereing the same question thats been asked on his car over and over again was harmless.

Nice numbers everyone, lots of higher hp cars compared to all the previous dyno days I've been too.

I also plan to hit RF on the 25th, you guys better come with all this talk! Now, do I bring the Talon or the V? Hmm...

19psi: 284whp, 292wtq
25psi: 339whp, 356wtq

The power band was near 325whp all the way from about 4700 to 6800rpm. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. My last dyno (different turbo, different tune) was 242whp@19psi at DB.

I had a great time, thanks scheides and everyone else who helped pull this off!

Nice powerband!

Great numbers everyone! I love how far this website and community has come in regards to power. Every year the stakes get higher, the crowds get bigger, the numbers get larger, and the fun never stops!

Do love the V8 sound but a few decibels less would be okay at 500hp.

Re: 2009 Fall Dyno Day - Oct 3rd @ MAP

I wanted to thank everyone involved with setting up the dyno day. To answer the questions about the 1G: it’s a GT42R on E85, not E98, boost spiked to 39 and settled to 36-37. I’m super happy with my results, the 1G was more of a shakedown run on the dyno. I would have been happy with 700 on the 1G, so 787 was above and beyond. 500 was the goal for the Evo. The evo was fine tuned, but the 1G barley made it to the rollers with its tune. I have a 400+WHp 1G winter car It feels fast, the evo feels much faster, and the 1G is downright awesome. I know I can make more power with the setup tuned on E98 and more boost. Currently at this level I’m more than happy with it. Next year the car will be on E98, I just need to get some barrels delivered to my house. Thanks again.

It was fun meeting some more members again as always. I wish I could have had a ride in some of the cars though, I got turned down a few times cause of the craptastic weather :( Oh well, I still had a blast!

As for Dan's Supra, we were hoping for around 625ish, but the MBC he bought last weekend was holding him back, for some reason it was turned all the way up and would only let him get to 21.4 psi. He was planning on having it around 26-28 which is what Shane tuned it for. It made 550 @ DB earlier this summer on 22psi, so there is a few things to be figured out yet.

Man I offered a few rides to people and I know someone asked right when I was about to go on the dyno and I said 'later' but no one ever came back. I asked kasey why he hadn't taken it around the block when he drove it off the dyno and he looked at me like I was crazy; I was serious! :)

He's around fast cars all day, every day...I'm not sure what it'd take to impress guys in that situation. I must say that the guys at MAP were very professional and friendly...I was exhausted just watching them strap all those cars in.

He said he was eye'ing the BBK or FP Red for his personal evo and dunno if he's got it on E85 yet since moving up to here to corn-land. I'm pretty sure if we weren't so busy he would have walked straight back over and gone for it!

Big thanks to Kevin (sleepydsm) and MAP for helping me with my stupid bov situation! I'm glad I got to make it on the dyno. I ended up putting down 375whp and 365wtq with the small 16g at 30psi. I didn't get a chance to tune my car though since it rained and I'm FWD. My timing was waay low since I switched it over to the 2g timing map without any adjustments. Thanks to everyone who made the dyno day possible!

Heres my Graph with the weird ass tune starting at 5.5k. Im going to see if Further can reload my tune and then may dyno again with both my 91 octane and 93 octane maps.

This is the 93 octane APR tune. Wish they would have logged boost.. My gauge says im spiking to 24 and settling in the teens.

The strange thing is, I did a couple pulls after dyno day and I cant seem to feel that drop in power thats on the graph... you'd think I would be able to?

I probably could have gained another 10hp out of it if the curve kept climbing to 6.5kish.

^maybe it was knocking on the dyno and pulling timing?

A//// Guy 10-05-2009 02:15 PM

Re: 2009 Fall Dyno Day - Oct 3rd @ MAP

Hmm Maybe, but youd think it would knock while the AFRs were alot leaner, not at the end when boost is low and its alot richer. Also strange it produces the exact same plots on all 3 runs.

Im looking into some logging software so I can see if timing is being pulled.

Oh its on E85 for sure. Stock turbo 9.8 made 404 and 424 tor on our dyno. I do have a little toy sitting here getting ready for the 17th at CedarFalls:evil:
