Not that the 10 day is ever super accurate, but it's calling for snow Wednesday and Thursday... still debating about putting the summers on or not.

^exotic no, fast yes. On the way to Duluth I was left so far behind because my car was in limp mode. Directions were hard to understand and got completely lost. Ended up finding the freeway and limped all the way to the hotel. Just sayin, the last cruise was hard for us slower folk, mildly cruising, or the ones "left behind" because we were in the bathroom.

It was still fun but I remember when we'd stop at overlooks and got a head count. Took pictures and stretched our legs out for a bit before heading out again together.

^ when took alys mirage we were 30-45min behind. Found the freeway and got back with everyone. Then got way back at least 15min a 2nd time. That is why this time we are just meeting for lunch then going back to the freeway to the hotel since we are taking the mirage or intrepid.

Ha, I just got my body panels redone on the bike, If I dumped it, i'd be pissed. I'm not saying no cause it's cold, if the roads were free of sand and it was 45 i'd go. But with the roads being salted and sanded 1 week before the cruise i'd be too nervous getting in to it and wouldn't have any fun.

As for bringing my crown vic, that'd be like $60 in gas and be boring as shit.

I think we are going to see a lot of people bail on this one unfortunatly. I hate to say it but I may be one of them because the weather is so fucked up this year. I'll see what it looks like when we get closer. Yes, the party a the hotel would be fun, but driving that far to booze it up makes it less so. The drive is 75% of the fun for me.

I'll be on snows, too. It is what it is, but at the end of the day we're not going hard enough to make a difference and the temps are still inside that gray area for transitioning. Plus, the snows will be a lot more forgiving as far as sand and water are concerned, and I'd assume we'll encounter quite a bit of both.

Good for you! I am not risking my 60k investment on a cruise to the middle of nowhere while its snowing. You can't even drive fast enough to have fun if its snowing.

Sorry, i drove in the snow this week and a few weeks ago, it sucks, my car slides everywhere.

By all means, drive your car. Whether I drive my kizashi or my evo, if its snowing I will be going the same speed.

I went all winter with crappy "high performance" all season tires on the IS. I never ended up in the ditch, or sliding out of control. And most of the time I was going faster than the flow of traffic. A little rain and maybe some sand shouldn't be cause for people to not come with.

I'm not going to go if the roads aren't dry. My car is too dangerous to rip on if roads are wet or slippery.

I'll end up going north and ripping up fire/forest service roads with my truck instead if the weather ends up crappy those two days.
