Car Prices

What would the price be for a 2g Eclipse, Talon, in good shape that would be used just as a dd. They have to be N/T. And the Talon I would like it if it was a 97-98. Or how about a 1g Talon N/T?

Thanks,

Justin

First off what do you have against a turbo?

Re: Car Prices

you might be able to find a 97 NA for around 3000-4000. It all depends on who is selling it and how hard you look. 1g NTs go for 1000 or less generally.

Re: Car Prices

Because I don't need another turbo vehicle. I will need a beater.

So what do all the names for those cars mean? I cannot remember them all but I remember that a couple were, DL, ESI, GS, RS. Maybe some more sporty than others?

Higher Cost to buy, Higher insurance I wouldn't be able to afford

Lol just cuz its not turbo doesn't mean it doesn't get the DSM legacy of breaking allot, buy a saturn or a honda if you want a DD.

What a horrible affliction to have. There are tons of NA cars better than NA DSMs.

But I don't care.

Re: Car Prices

Why do you want to get a NT DSM? People will just make fun of you when they know its not a turbo model. And if you want a beater, get something else better.

Re: Car Prices

Nope sticking with the dsm, Im just stubbern like this.

So does anyone know what DL, ESI, GS, RS mean? Is it just a little sportier than usual?

1ViciousGSX 06-26-2006 09:00 PM

Re: Car Prices

RS = Hairless Chihuahua, makes alot of noise and shakes alot.

GS = Longhair Chihuahua, looks slightly better, still the same animal.

GST = Dobermann Pincher, nasty bite, looks mean, a little slow out the gate.

GSX = Pit Bull, looks mean, sounds mean, will tear you apart very quickly.

TsiEagleTalon92-You know that if you get an NA your going to end up turboing it right?! Everybody does!

P.S. I'm A PIT BULL!

Re: Car Prices

Me too :D.

The 1g Talon DL and the Eclipse (no letters) have 1.8 liter engines. For 2gs the RS is the most basic DSM, RS's are a loaded version of the NT RS, and ESi's are the non turbo Talons. I would also suggest a beat up little honda, much better daily beater.

Re: Car Prices

And I as well but my GS isnt turbo'd yet and wont be unless I can come across a turbo head for cheap, and get all of the problem's fixed. I can't do a honda I don't think. Just can't picture me driving one.

Well, my "fully loaded" 97 ex coupe gets 34 mpg mixed driving (mostly city) but has gotten as high as 39mpg while cruising on the highway at 75-80mph with the a/c on. Also, that 34mpg average is with a terribly dirty k&n filter, it used to average a couple points higher.

Old crx HF's got 40's easily, and you can eek a couple more mpg out with a K&N and exhaust if you want. CRX Si's were a little lower, but still, its a small ass car, and light as hell, so they don't take much to punch through the wind.

Re: Car Prices

My friend got 32 or 34 mpg (cant remember) when he brought his Vtec Del Sol home from Florida. I think he said he averaged 80 coming home and when he wasnt going 80, he was getting there pretty quick. I would get a beat up old CRX, excellent beater and you could get one for really cheap.
