Bowling Anyone?

Just curious, how many people like to go bowling? I suck at it :( but I still think it's fun. Maybe we could do like a Style bowling night or something if enough people are interested.

I'd be down for something like this, I suck as well but whetever.

Re: Bowling Anyone?

I also am not the best, but I love bowling. Just got my own ball a couple weeks ago. DSMStyle (Allan) & Matt D. are on a bowling league, and I know they'd be up for bowling some weekend. We were actually thinking about it this weekend. We are thinking about hitting up St. Michael to see how their lanes are.

Re: Bowling Anyone?

Yeah, I'm game for whenever and wherever. As long as they serve beer I'm good. I'm finally getting pretty consitant with my new ball as well and getting in the 200 range 1 out of 3 games.

As for the league matt and I are in with a few guys from MNSC (It's an MNSC team that I joined about 6 weeks in to fill a hole) we kicked some ass last night!

Id be up for a bowling night too, havent played in a while but I think its fun. Where are some places we could go?

Re: Bowling Anyone?

Elk River bowl is out there for some people but they always have room, it's cheap, and low key. Brunswick bowling in BP is a nice set up, but it's in Brooklyn Park and turns into a hang out for teenage kids in the area to get into the warm. Minnehaha Lanes is nice, but I think they are having problems on the weekends as well when I was talking to the bartender last night cause he was reference the new 3 strikes policy for violent acts at an establishment. Block E has always been fun for us, but it's also fucking expensive, but I've always enjoy the waitress there. ;)

Jana 11-10-2006 09:51 AM

Re: Bowling Anyone?

I prefer one of the places out by us, just because they are never very busy & it's cheaper. But then more people have to drive further... so if someone has a better place, speak up. :)

Matt D. 11-10-2006 10:32 AM

Re: Bowling Anyone?

I agree, hitting up the smaller bowling centers is good because it's cheaper, quieter, and just more relaxing. I've bowled most of my life, I don't look forward to spending $5+ per game.

EVOMR05 11-10-2006 10:41 AM

Re: Bowling Anyone?

Sounds like fun. Haven't bowled in years.
When???
Where??? Yes the smaller lanes would be more fun and cheaper too!

Re: Bowling Anyone?

I go for the beer :)

Actually I'm the worst bowler God has ever put on this earth, but I like to go and hang out with people. I don't bowl though. Haha.

Airport bowl is a cool, small, old, cheap place by the moa.

I'm game as well.... and I'm not the best either.

Dont know if Id drive way up to the rogers area to bowl... thats quite a drive. Anything the 694/494 loop would be ok with me.

shut your pie hole, where you live it's 25/30 min tops. ;)

LOL, and Tauni, you just need more practice.

Grrrr...I can't help it! I haven't felt like dancing on poles, laying in elevators, and spending all of the next day PUKING lately!!

Re: Bowling Anyone?

I dirve that everyday. Hell, I can come wake you crackers up every moring if ya want ;) I don't care where it is really, just that the best ones to go to where more fun will probably be had will be outside the loop.

Medina Lanes out on 55 is a nice one as well from what I have heard, and that's not too far out. It does get quite busy though I've been told.

Isn't there one in the Chaska area that's supposeds to be nice?

Grow a pair. I drive from Roseville and my car is NOT as comfortable as either of yours.

YAH! GROW A PAIR!

[Sorry, I just wanted to tell someone to grow a pair.]

Come on.. If I would be willing to drive up there from EAGAN to hang out, you can drive from Minnetonka. You pansy ass. Unfortunately, there won't be much driving for me, though. But at least I'm willing

MISS.. thank you very much....
And thats not funny...

I have bad luck being sober cab because people always end up having bad drunks. They get mad or start crying or freak out. So me being sober cab = bad luck.

Not like that. Last time I was sober cab everyone was yelling because they were depressed or something. I didn't even know half of them!

LOL I'm not worried about that much. I know my limits, but you should know me well enough to know by now that I push ANYTHING and everything, inculing my limits, hahah!

Depressed people don't yell, they cut.

Re: Bowling Anyone?

OKAYY, now that that the page of normal Style discussion has taken over the thread, back on topic:

I'd prefer somewhere in the 694/494 loop as well. I've only been to a couple places, Block E and the one in Brooklyn Park off of Brooklyn Blvd. The one in Brooklyn Park is ok if you go a little later like after 10 or 11 pm. It supprisingly gets pretty quiet. Anytime Fri or Sat works for me. And actually now that I think about it Thursday nights would work as well.

A//// Guy 11-10-2006 03:41 PM

Re: Bowling Anyone?

So how about we bowl block E earlier in the evening and then go hit the bars afterwards? Good idea/bad idea?

I'm not carrying my bowling equipment to Block E, I doubt Allan and Jana want to either.

AJ 11-10-2006 03:50 PM

Re: Bowling Anyone?

I don't really have an intrests in hitting the clubs after bowling, I can drink while bowling, and I don't want to have to lug my 30lbs of bowling shit around dowtown. I'd be up for a late night BP event if it does get quiet, but then again both locations cost double for drinks and bowling that any place outside the loop.

Agreed. And now that I have my own, I want to use it.

Re: Bowling Anyone?

I think it's pretty clear that there will be a select few interested in outside, and others who want to be inside or closer. So we will all probably go our own way. :D

Re: Bowling Anyone?

Ahh ok makes sense. Didnt know you guys were proffesionals! haha Alright well just name the time and place.

Allan you dont even come to applebees why would I expect you to come out the bars :D hehe

Re: Bowling Anyone?

I'll go where it's $2.50 or less a game and pitches of beer don't top $8 bucks. That, and I don't want to be kicked out for wearing a hat, or booted for wearing stripes after labor day.

I don't think ER is even that cheap per game, but their pitchers of beer are. We should check St. Micheal and see what the price is.

Re: Bowling Anyone?

We'll I'd rather go as a big group which is more fun, so I'll make the sacrifice of the drive if people want to go elsewhere. Plus, I haven't met all you peoples yet so I think it's time I need to.

ER is $2.50 a game and $1 shoe rental. That's what we where paying last week I think.
