The car isn't even all original! Shit it's supposed to have Eagle Gatorback tires and there are friggin Goodyear Eagle vr50s. haha I kinda want to buy a car and just never drive it. I wonder what a brand new dsm or 3s or something would go for.

The GNX is an incredible car. But could GM come up with any more of a terrible styling. What isn't squared off on this car. Pick ups have more rounded edges.

A lot of 60s muscle cars are more soothing to the eyes.

The "SW" at the bottom of the gauges stands for Stewart-Warner if I remember correctly. Too bad the GSX couldn't come with Auto-Meter gauges.

Wow, if I had the money, I'd buy this car. This car will be worth $1M in 20 years when this whole collector boom happens again.

Goodyear Eagle VR50's are gatorbacks.

The factory warranty would be over by year, not miles.

MSO means it's never been titled and would be subject to whatever fees are to title it for the first time. Probably $500 based on the original sticker price of $30K. The bonus is whoever buys it is the "original" owner.

Yes, but the "years" never started since it was never titled. Like when you buy a leftover model the 3/36 (for example) doesn't start until you purchase it even though its already a year old.

You might be right. The date the warranty starts is the "in service date", which happens when the first title is applied for. Hmmm. Not that you'd really need a warranty on a 9-mile car.

I'm sure a lot of seals are rotted by now, and who knows what kind of running order the drivetrain and engine are in after 20 years of sitting. Whoever buys that might be able to scam GM into a bunch of new parts!

Most of the time when someone stores a collector car like that, they start it every few months and maybe drive it around the block. Considering they probably trailered it from the dealership, there's your nine miles.

Very true Speedo was unplugged. Seriously who just goes out and buys /pay's for a car and lets it just sit for 20 years. They could have never know that this car would be selling for 100k + after 20 years and with inflation anyways buying that car for 30k in 87 and trying to sell it now for 109k.
Just an example parents bought their first house for 27k in 85 and sold it for 115k in 04. So in theory the guy is only making his money back on it.

How do you know the speedo was unplugged? The vehicle was never sold. New car dealers do this all the time with limited edition or last run cars. If something was built and was very special (and the GNX was), dealers hold onto them as investments. Dealers have enough money to sit on several cars like this if they want to. Imagine the "floor traffic" having a car like this would create for a dealership.

We have a Dodge dealer here that has a first run Viper set aside (might be behind glass) for display to attract people onto the show room.

kind of like an old ferrari or prosche or beemer thats been maintained but fuckin catches fire the minute the seller hands you the keys, and those cars are much higher quality that a friggin GM car...
