Cookout is close! Any major plans?

I know Kevin just painted his roof and tails, and it got me thinking...what's everyone else got in store for the cookout?

I personally have some bitchin samco radiator hoses that need to go in, a set of Mynes hood dampers, and hopefully an undertray. I really wanna order some springs and take best in show, but the evo is gonna remain on stock ride height until I can find a good deal on some new bilsteins to go with some nice springs.

*if* I get time, I'll be painting my tails....hopefully they turn out ok!

Any other bit bad-ass plans? I know some people like to keep secrets until the day-of, but I figure it's so close now, no one will see these setups until the cookout is upon us! So let's hear it!

Get my new trim piece and the front bumper repainted. Then just get it running somewhat decent for the dyno.

For the Galant;

50 trim is going in with 1200cc injectors, JMF intake mani, and E85 tune.

I sure would love to have my cams installed if FP ever gets off their ass and actually makes a few sets. I love 3-month backorders and I especially love companies that constantly lie about it.

No major plans for me as I'm broke but maybe some tinted taillights and clean up the engine bay. Also gonna try and get my COP working and get my heatshield buffed.

Would definately like to have a look at you car :)

As for my Galant a ton. Gotta redo the wheels, stainless brake lines, radiator install, general cleanup of entire car, fuel pump, new powdercoated valve cover and heatshield, and if time allows fmic with custom piping. Yeah little crunched for time :D Might just make it look nice instead :p

sooo much body work left... bumper, grill, hood maybe too. all of my door panels are off right now, and the car needs a detail badly.

Put on new headlights, spruce up the engine bay, rub my cock on the car for a good time.

Lol, make sure you do that before the cookout, not at the cookout!

Re: Cookout is close! Any major plans?

Well now that the majority of the paint work is done on my car (still wanna paint the hood), it needs to be completely buffed. I spent a couple hours after work sanding and buffing the stuff I painted on Saturday, but I still have most of the car to do. I bought a buffer today so I'll be able to do the rest of the car at home. Other than that, I gotta clean up the interior alot. Being a daily driver makes it a little dirty sometimes :)

1. Teach the wife on how to drive my m/t car so she can drive part of the way to MN. Getting old and restless. :bf_nonew:

2. Hope that the dsm survives the trip there and back and for a few more years.

3. Clean the car up. Haven't washed and wax the car for a good a good 3 to 4 months now. Going to try to get that black mirror finish off the car.

Drop the car 2" with sportlines and kyb agx's

Put in energy suspension bushings (3 weeks to order and ontop of that FedEx needs help...)

change the rear end to a 4 bolt

POR 15 all the pieces that make up the rear

Clean up the wiring from the MS2 system and make it looks nice(yes, ms2 works!!) Tune it a little...

find a boost gauge to go over 20psi

Found a sun roof with a detachable switch from U pull, install that

Clean, wax, detail, drive, repeat...

Almost there...:1smiley.php:

Last year didn't make it but this year will be there!!

Re: Cookout is close! Any major plans?

Maybe if I don't have the gsx sold at that time I can have the second most ricer 2g there! I believe the #1 spot is still spoken for.

And on the talon I want to tuck the main wiring loom under the intake mani, that's about it. Oh yea and get my fuel pump rewired so it actually works reliably.

Re: Cookout is close! Any major plans?

Welp Aside from some cleaning, I'm ready to rock for the cookout. When I started this thread last week, springs were at the back of my mind. Then look what happened! Heh!

Mynes Hood dampers installed (note, matches black car perfectly ;) ):
http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo8/IMG_7922.sized.jpg

Tails painted, sanded, and buffed by Kevin, sooo sexy:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3165/...bd7185.jpg?v=0

Springs installed, and was at Jeff Forss (thealgnmentguy) yesterday when MAP called begging for a last-minute alignment on their FDSM...He put his foot down, I LOL'd!
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3223/...c588ea.jpg?v=0

Took this shot this AM, NO other cars for hundreds of yards around me. Right after I took this pic, this douche in a tan CRV pulls up and literally parks right beside me, wrecking the shot. I was out of the car, camera in hand, crouched down and obviously taking pics. Actually, you can see him pulling in, just over the hood of the car:
http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo8/IMG_7925.sized.jpg

So, I settled for this shot instead. Time to start cleaning her up, need to install my new pimpin' radiator hoses too (ugly bulge in one of them :( )

Looking good, Scheides!

My bumper and grill are getting painted right now. Then I just need to clean the engine bay, give the body a good wash and I should be ready. Sadly, I'm pretty sure I won't have enough time to fix my new hood and get it painted. :(

Lookin good Scheides.

I will be getting my bumper and trim piece back today from Maaco. I will also be finishing up getting the setup back together as much as possible, and start trying to dial it in as best as I can for the Dyno Day that Saturday.
