I have the FPred on the black cherry. It's running the exact same times for 15psi as it is for 25 psi.
I'm thinking possibly a boost leak. But looking for other ideas.

Ran 13.6 all night long didn't matter the psi. Even bumped it up to almost 30 and ran the same.

For the last pass, the weld around the flange to the WG cracked, so there's an exhaust leak, but even with that, it still made a 13.7 pass. Going to get that re-welded of course. I'm thinking that has a huge factor, but before that it was doing the same thing with no exhaust leaks.

I'm getting absolutely no knock. And it's running about 10.5 AFR.

Car feels good, til I get on the track, then it's just disappointing. I was getting 1.813 60's so it just seems like my numbers are way down, esp the mph. The best mph I could pull out of it was 109.8

Just looking to get ideas. I'm heading out to fix the WG and check out boost leaks. So if you have an idea, please let me know :)

^Work on your 60 fts and you should be golden. If you get your 60s closer to 1.3ish I would guess you'd get down to the 12s. When I tracked my car I was basically gettin the same shitty 60s and about the same times except my traps were like 101 :(

If you don't have any boost leaks I'd just plane work on getting it outa the hole quicker....(that's what she said)

See I was getting the exact same times running a 2.2 60' last time out.
I really doubt I could pull a 1.3 60'. Next time out, I'm going to try pre-loading and try for a 1.6 60'.

1.8 is a respectable 60ft, 1.3 is very unrealistic for a DSM. I don't think it would be possible.



Your MPH seems fast for mid 13s. When I used to run my pretty much stock 14b powa'd AWD i was running 13 flats at 103mph. I would fix that WG and do a boost leak test. Then work on your shifting skillz.

No AWD dyno around here and we had made it ourselves. The weld hadn't penetrated all the way, but it had broken off around the weld.

Do a boost leak test and go from there. Lean it out a bit, 10.5 AFR seems rather rich.

I have a time slip with a 1.28 60' on it, unfortunately it was by Curt Brown in the other lane.

That WG flange wasn't welded all the way around, so it was leaking the whole time. You are going to have to grind off the powder coating (all of it near the weld) and reweld the pipe to the flange all the way around.

You also need to work on your shifting, I ran a 13.6 @ 99mph. My 60' was pretty similar, it was a mid 1.7. A boost leak test is definitely in order after you get that fixed.

It was welded all the way around, it was just welded on the inside.

It is now all welded back up and welded inside and out. Car runs good and pulls hard now.

Hard to shift a car with a crap tranny ;) I have to shift to second at 6500 to get it to maybe go in. lol.

Get your leaks fixed and your problems will be solved. I was trapping 124-125mph with my FP Red on a decent tune and granny shifting it. I ran a 11.9 at 118 missing fourth gear completely.

You have 2,200 posts; you should have picked up something by now.

With that 60' and that MPH you should be in the high to mid 12s, get a new tranny or work on your shifting. The leak(s) didn't help either though.

Yeah I remember that day Jet; when we were running the red Talon; mid 13's all day, with only a UICP and a 2.5 cat back exhaust, fuck that car took a beating in its life around us, especially when we were drunk.

sry I've been to a track once and I got times mixed up. I swear I was running 1.8ish 60s and I couldn't launch for shit which was why I thought I heard 1.3 was an average/good 60.

See I've never gotten to 4th gear... The other guy at the track is running 60-1 and he'd shift to 4th.. But I never did til I got to the end to keep the idle up a bit and oil going through..

What were you shifting at?



Oh and tranny will get rebuilt either end of the month or over winter.

Geez; I can't believe we never got in trouble for that crap. I was just telling somebody the other day about me and Nash's run down 694N going around 150+ waxing some Z28 Camaro's ass, until the #3 exhaust valve decided to die on us. The looks on their faces when I pulled past them going around 135. Priceless.
