Operation panty drop, commence! (New Car)

So I sold the M3 last week. Ive been grieving since...

Picked this up tonight, and drove it home giggling like a little schoolgirl, literally. No more old cars, for a DD at least! I absolutely LOVE the interior.

07 A4 Quattro S-Line
12k Miles, so lots of warranty left.
6-Speed
18" wrapped in Pilots
Convenience package
HID'z, Leather, Bose sound, Sunroof, Aluminum interior, Blah, Blah, Blah, Bling.

Its not fast by any means, but it should be as fast as the M, if not faster with a few mods. Also Im back in the Turbo AWD game! haha I plan on keeping this car for a long time, and it will be a good daily driver. I was sick of working on older cars, and dealing with rust so... This will do till I have room for a project dsm/evo.

I had a lot of choices floating around in my head, but all of them had 45k miles or more, and I didn't think it was worth. S4, E46 M3, 911, Evo, S60R, etc... If the evo had a touch more class, id be all over it. ;)

Plans:

Tint, Chip, Suspension, Intake, Exhaust, Front lip, Blacked out grill, etc.. Also going to get a sideways hat, and lots of techno CDs burned. :) haha jk

Scheides change my name to A//// Guy please. :)

WOOT! I had a funny feeling this was what you were after, but dang nice pickup.. The s-line A4's are nice. With a few mods you'll have plenty of power to play with; the 2.0t is a great motor. I'll have to fill you in on all the stuff that will make you cry about it later on though ;)

I see EPL in your future :) I have their software on anna's car and now after riding in an APR car and GIAC, I have to say I'm way happy. Check the thread on anna's car for a quick and easy 200whp out of it.

This is what I would have bought for her if I could have made myself spend more mulah but.....no DSG option kinda killed it for us.

Looks good! What extra does the S-line come with?

Re: Operation panty drop, commence! (New Car)

Thanks peeps!

I have the car sitting in the garage for the next couple days, but it will be rollin on the non snowy days. Sucks Ill have to juggle cars with my dad till spring. Ill be getting winter tires for next season though.

The S-Line package comes with a stiffer suspension, S badges all over, diff steering wheel/trim, and 18" wheels and a bodykitz.

Im just excited to start with something new that doesnt need work, or was modded before.

I found it at burnsville VW. These are hard to find, with a 6 speed. Regular A4's are everywhere though. I ended up in a price range higher than I wanted to be in originally. Considering the car is almost brand new, I got a uber good deal though. Ended up being in the mid 20's after tax/license etc.

Nice car! So what's the difference in this car, and an S4? Sorry, but I'm retarded when it comes to Audis. haha

S4's come with either a 2.7L Twin turbo (2000-2002) or a 4.2L V8. The S-line is a 2.0T (same motor/turbo as in anna's GLI), so its no monster but should make enough power to have fun...and still get 35mpg on long trips :D

JET 02-10-2009 06:11 PM

Re: Operation panty drop, commence! (New Car)

I doubt it will get 35mpg in the bigger car and AWD. Should be a kick ass DD though.

TRUF. I think audi guys talk about 32-33 though, pretty decent considering its a 2.0turbo.

I can get my 2.0T FWD Saab to get a max of 35mpg on the highway if I do a leisurely 60mph.

Re: Operation panty drop, commence! (New Car)

I bet the 10.5:1 compression ratio helps that highway mileage quite a bit.

A//// Guy 02-10-2009 07:04 PM

Re: Operation panty drop, commence! (New Car)

Yea it should be better with mileage than even my M was. So thats a plus! The S4 would have sucked with mileage.. 15 city 21 max highway...

Very nice! I hear ya on the touch of class, even a MS6 was a little too rough for me. Settled on a nice little S60 for now, and I'll upgrade to the R later on. Although that new Acura RL Type SH AWD is getting pretty reasonable these days. I miss AWD when it snows.

I followed one of these for a bit tonight; while behind it I was thinking what a nice car that is.

Peter, so what kind of suspension are you going to do on that thing?

Re: Operation panty drop, commence! (New Car)

Im looking at Bilstien sport shocks with H&R's. A few Audi sites sell them as a package for under $700. I had the bilsteins on the M and they were deliciously tight.
