1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED

I'm kinda broken to do this, but I need to grow up a bit, and get something a bit more economical. So, my fun, fast car is up for sale..I'd perfer to have someone else enjoy the hard work and labor I've put into it in getting it done to this point then to part it out, and watch it slowely die away. Mods are as follows:

6-bolt, build (weisco/eagle) 2.0l
cometic HG
A1 research headstuds (yes, the $660 set-only 10 sets made a year!)
6 bolt head
comp 101400 cams DEGREE'D with red fidanza cam gears
JFM DRAG intake manifold, polished. First one with the new CNC veloc. stacks, and was run on Brent bennyhoff's racecar to his 7xxawhp numbers
DNP div. t4 exh. mani
divided .70 a/r housing
PTE 6776s-polished s-cover
3" all the way back true exhaust, to n1 muffler
red tial wg, with dual springs
3" upper polished aluminum intercooler pipe with red Tial BOV
q45 tb
southbend OFE carbon/ceramic clutch (same josh used in his 794awhp stealth-very street friendly, hold the power) with a JUN lightweight flywheel
shep stg. 4 tranny (not many miles on it either-total, about 2600 miles) welded center diff
MSD-dis4 ignition, and a COP setup
1600cc injectors
twin walbro 310 pumps, 1/2" line up to filter, -8 into the rail, -6 out to aeromotive FPR
custom radiator with -16 an lines/fittings (this was $500 just in lines/fittings and welds!)
AEM EMS with 5 bar map/AIT sensors
dejon race FMIC core (seems to do just fine, and now with e-85, even better)
cleaned up engine bay, wire tuck, fuse box relocate
8 point cage on interior
sparco evo seats, simpson harnesses
16x8" Kosei K1 wheels, painted black
larger brakes, with painted calipers, drilled/slotted rotors, new EBC pads all around
batter in trunk with cutoff switch and a moroso NHRA battery box
autometer boost, water temp, oil psi, g-force meter, and fuel psi gauges
FJO wideband
greddy turbo timer
custom switch panel for fuel pumps, fans, gauge lights, poewr for laptop (not included) and power for radar detector
CF hood
Black housing headlights with HID's (6000k)
wired in AMP and ran aux for ipod hookup in center counsole

I'm sure there's much stuff I'm forgetting, but as you can clearly see, NO EXPENSE was spared on this car! Last year it made a crappy 509AWHP with issues like the WG didn't hold, boost controller broke, and I couldn't rev past 8. We found, during rewire, many grounds not hooked up (duh!) and redid everything! I got a new wg with dual springs, and a hallman MBC. Car sould make great power this year (6xx!?), on e-fuel!

I'm open to offers, but NO trades. I wish to have money for a nice down payment on an evo, and I even found the exact one I want.

You can drive this car, as I just took it around the block. Personally, i'd tune it first before ANYTHING. get a trailer, and bring it straight to your tuner. But, I've NEVER beat on ANYTHING unless I knew it was safe-many people who know me here can contest to that-hence why I've never blown a motor up. I like safeer then sorry. So, i'd recommend getting a trailer, onyl cuz in driving it around here, the a/f's where everywhere, due to the bigger ic pipe, q45, and the fact it has NO TUNE on these larger injectors, besides to idle (wow it sounds good!)

this has been my pride and joy for 3 years, but I think I'm growing outta the all-out speed and performance. made it as much a DD as I could, so it still has heat, wipers, lights, etc. title on car is clean. I just need something with 4 doors that I won't wanna touch and mod to the n-th degree like this car!

I'd LIKE 12,500 but I guess make offers. NO LOWBALLING! You all see the mod list, and I'm not about to loose my ass on it and sell it for 6 grand.

No fucking way!! didn't you just get this thing running again? Wow, if I had to do my whole DSM over again, I would just buy this thing.

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED

yes, i did. this car has suprisingly been VERY reliable for me! I've just had small issues that prevented me from making GOOD clean power, but now that's all taken care of! I just don't wanna deal with it anymore..I want something new, and so I can leave it alone, and concentrate on other aspecs of my life. If this car sells, I'll also be selling my other winter beater too, and just driving the evo as a DD year round.

Enough with tire-kicking; please only post if you're interested in the car to help keep things clean and easy to read for those who are interested in purchasing.

What do you have for suspension?

And you may want to put up some pics of the interior.

Keys are not at all given to ANYONE without cash for the car. I'm NOT here to screw anyone over, and MANY on this board know me. However, I will not allow joyriders, and tirekickers. I have too much money invested into this car, to let some newb drive it, break it from driving it inproperly, or wrapping it around a tree.

Agreed. Nobody is going to buy a 17 year old DSM w/o driving it just b/c you say its nice. You're worse than the Mitsu dealerships thinking the Evo is some sort of exotic...

HiImBrian 08-18-2009 01:58 PM

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED

Swift if you wanna sell it you have to "let go" a little haha. When I sold me dsm, the kid knew how, but had never drivin a stick before. I drove him around on the roads so he could feel the car our, and then went to a parking lot and teach him. He came back the next day with $9000 :)

A//// Guy 08-18-2009 02:08 PM

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED

Same with me. My 1g sold for 8300 bucks, and it had a stock motor. lol Both people that looked at it got to drive it, with proof of insurance and me in the passenger seat of course.

Swifty1638 08-18-2009 02:43 PM

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED

I have no problem letting him drive it, but I will NOT throw him the car to "Take home" and look at. NOT happening.

Kracka 08-18-2009 02:53 PM

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED

You should at least let a potential buyer have the car inspected on his dollar.

HiImBrian 08-18-2009 03:06 PM

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED

There's no problem in riding along with them. That just shows that you truly care about the car.

Swifty1638 08-18-2009 03:07 PM

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI HEAVILY MODDED

I'd go with to have the car inspected too, jsut to confirm I'm not lying. I can also do a compression test with them standing right there. I have nothing to hide with this vehicle, and everyone who knows me KNOWS this is a killer deal, and a good car, minus the paint. I didn't half-ass the put-together at all, and nothing was ever beaten on without a tune to make sure it was safe first. This has been my BABY for over 2 years, so I'm not gonna settle, and just TOSS it down the drain. If it's not sold, I'll keep it. Not like I'm making payments on it.
