Spring Dyno day is upon us!
 

This is the gossip thread for the spring dyno day. What's new on your car that you'll be testing out? I'm in the process of finalizing prizes but so far we have a bunch of t-shirts, hats, stickers, some of those fancy hood dampers, and a pile of other fun stuff is on its way!

Anna's car will be having its first run on DB's rollers. Last fall it put down 213whp at MAP with a bit of a wonky tune since it has a DSM bov on it and the stock one blocked off. It's got the intake, catless downpipe, bov mod, and a new, more solid tune now. Hoping we hit 200whp and excited to see what kind of torque it puts down. Prolly 220-230-ish if my butt-dyno is right.

I'm getting a new FMIC for my evo. Not sure if it'll be here in time, but if it is, it'll go on the rollers for sure :)

Gonna get a baseline on the WRX, DSM has a non-working tranny again, so thats a no-go.

Shitty! Didn't you just put that in?

Looks like my buddy isnt going to get the 1g on the rollers, still got to finish it up and seat the piston rings.

So far only mods on the A4 is a full Stasis exhaust, and no cat. Hoping to break 175 whp? lol

Should be a good baseline dynoz.

bringing my 94 cobra up, kind of a cheap basline for me as well, full exhaust, upper and lower manifold, intake pipe. hoping to hit around factory numbers at the wheels

also trying to get my 91 talon up there, just did a fp manifold and e316g, hoping for close to 300 at the wheels.
still need to get my 880's in, a/f meter, and get it tuned better, maybe running e85 but we will see how that goes

I guess I plan on signing up for this, but after this weekend cause that's when I get paid. If I do, I hope to put down as much as I did during tuning. Maybe I will spray water on the intercooler. :)

I might be going. Had plans to be out of town for the weekend, but those fell through so if I can make the drive over, I might make it. Last dyno day I attended was fun.

Welp, its official, BR Race FMIC is on its way to me :D Hopefully it'll be here in time! They offered to throw some dyno day prizes into the box with it, and that is what pushed me over the edge. I hope you are all happy.

Damn, not sure if I'm going to make this. Definitely not dynoing the car, but it's a long drive just to hang out for a half day. I'll see if Emily wants to take the zx2.

Not positive, just want to eliminate it from the equation. People have seen gains going to this core from most other cores on the market, so even if I only pickup a few whp, I'll be happy!

Andrew, you know damn well we like to party saturday after the dyno event :D

And if you want to break 300whp on DBs dyno you better bring E85 with that 16G or good ole C16

E85 would put him damn close, that kid last spring put down 285 with injectors, E85,255 pump, E316G, and a tune.

I am hoping to be there to get a baseline for the viper. I ordered up an exhaust and would like to get it on before. I will be out of town next week for work so I probably won't have time to do it until the night before. Depending on how it goes and runs after will be the deciding factor if I will try to get it on or not.

I'm thinking I will sign up on Monday, after the AX'ing is done. Just want to make sure the Stealth is still in one properly functioning piece before I throw out the cash. That and I get paid Friday.

I would also be getting rid of the cats which could cause the CEL to come on and it to run a little rich. Not they aren't rich from the factory anyhow.

I'll be down for one. I wanna give MAP's dyno a try. I wanna see what I got now. Since the last one in May 08, I've gotten a 2g mas, testpipe, slightly tuned ( :scared: ), and possibly a E316G. So..we'll see. I may even run a mix of race/pump gas. I really wanna get over the 220 awhp!!

last year was the one at DB and thats the one i went to, but if its at DB I'll still go just because the last dyno day was puuuure sweeetness. Is this spring dyno day going to be at DB??

Ok seriously...This is gay. Why is every legit even within the last like 3 weeks of school? Am I the only one that goes to college on this board? If this were just one week later I'd love to come hang out. Seriously guys...this sucks

p.s. nobody will make over 300awhp. At LEAST 1 car will blow up/leak on the dyno. And the highest hp will be made by some random guy that doesn't even run a fmic.

Well, my car is a bit of a dyno whore, so lame.

Anyway at DB I have over 100 pulls on file there. Last fall I made 377/377, struggling to get back into form this spring but it should make 340+ or so at least.
